From the get-go this album is flawed: there’s only a few artists who warrant a 2-hour album, and Migos is definitely not one of them. This album pales in comparison to Culture 1 in almost every way possible, from the hooks and lyrics to the production. Instead of trying to come up with legitimately entertaining songs and attempting to recapture that charisma and energy from Culture 1, Migos unfortunately settles for "quantity over quality" to capture stream revenue.

There's nothing special here, tbh. If you've ever listened to the radio then you've probably already heard something that sounds like this entire album. That doesn't necessarily mean the album is bad; I think by mainstream pop standards this ain't a trash album. It just sounds very formulaic and unmemorable. The only song I really enjoyed and can see myself maybe listening to more than a couple times is "Havana." There's basically nothing here to marvel at, however she's still very ... read more

I think I liked this project a little more than I thought I would. The production is definitely what I enjoyed the most, Metro keeps establishing himself as mainstream hip-hop's most versatile and prolific producer. The rapping was...basically what I expected at this point from Big Sean. Some dope bars, some average bars, some really terrible cringey ones, per usual. This album is nothing special but it's alright.

Really enjoyed this album, I'd honestly consider this among some of my favorite pop music I've ever heard. It's very well produced (shout-out to Clarence Clarity), Rina has a nice voice, the songs are well written, the hooks are catchy, and overall this has some throwback vibes that I really enjoyed.

When I first listened to this project I was stunned by how much it surpassed my expectations. Tyler really stepped it up artistically on this album. Lyrically this album is more mature and personal and there's a greater focus on overall sound and composition and emotions. There's a lot of beautiful beats and some very captivating features and hooks. I don't know what else to say, this was just a gorgeous album.
