I had been meaning to listen to this entire thing for a while but just never got to it due to my laziness and unwillingness to accept other artists that I had little knowledge of, but this album just about reached my extremely high expectations that came about due to me having listened to Philautia several times (and loving it). Has some songs that are probably in my top 10 of all time, but there are also some points that don't quite stand out to me.
Very pleasant sounding, reminds me a lot of sigur ros. My only complaint is that I don't feel that it progresses enough, but that might just be me not having enough patience.
Doesn't work that well as a single because it is clear that context from the album is needed, but the atmosphere is great so I can't say it wasn't enjoyable.

This album is perfect.
While still covering a large range of sounds, The Downward Spiral manages to stay sonically consistent throughout the album. The intense parts feel very well done and the quieter parts are just as enjoyable as the rest. The only track on here that I feel doesn't fit is Piggy, but the ending is still incredible so I can't say that I don't enjoy the song as a whole.

This album is good.
I enjoyed quite a bit of this album for the most part, but some of it just didn't quite click with me. Maybe I have to listen to it again in a different environment but what I've gotten from this first listen is a bit of a mixed bag. I definitely see the appeal here but it just wasn't for me overall.

Very short but uses the time well, would've been a 9 if it weren't for the end of the last song, which made me very uncomfortable.

This album is amazing
It is quite front loaded in my opinion, with a large part of my favorite tracks being from the first half, mainly the first 3 tracks. Apart from that though, the sound of this album is amazing, and stays quite consistent throughout while still being unique on every song.
