Experimental, atmospheric at times, questionable lyrics, everything you could want from an old Tyler, The Creator album. I will say he definently goes overboard at times with the production, but Cherry Bomb will randomly hit you with the most beautiful 30 seconds you've ever heard. This is helped by the Kali Uchis and Syd features throughout, but Tyler is the one masterminding this truly chaotic album. It can sound awful to you, or it can all come together and make something very special, ... read more
Planet Frog is a very fun album. I've seen Action Bronson around here and there but as a full length project I'm pleased for sure. The highlight for me has to be production, it just feel so alive. The instruments and beats on display are ear candy, it's great. Action Bronson also has a very unique way of rapping, it's almost like he's telling you a story where the strangest and most surreal stuff occur. By a mile the worst Drake album ever made, let alone in his trilogy he dropped for the Iceman rollout. Iceman is great and I do like Habibti a lot but this genuienly sucks. Some of these tracks are despicably bad, I mean who keeps inviting Sexxy Red to features man. The fun moments are scattered here and there, but you'll struggle to find any real good music on Maid of Honour.
You gotta love some R&B Drake man. I do wish he would've got the best songs from this album and just given them to Iceman to make one cohesive album, but the songs that are here are pretty great. Classic Drake singing, very nice production throughout, honestly no notes on most of these tracks. The fact that the intro sucks and Sexxy Red is on it are my only complaints, but Classic makes up for all that.
Oh boy here we go.
Drake is my favourite artist, but I'm not going to blindly glaze Drake like many of his other fans, this review is as objective as possible. But if you want my true opinion, I'm loving Iceman. Waking up on May 15th to find 3 new Drake albums is a feeling I'll never forget. While I'll save his other two releases for later, I think his main project Iceman is great. The rollout was fantastic, and now that it's here I'm putting my opinion down and ... read more
