I am the worlds biggest The Crunge defender and the worlds biggest D’yer Mak’er hater. Seriously fight me in the comments because The Crunge belongs here.
For those who remember Houses of the Holy used to be in my 100s list, it’s one of my most listened albums and it used to be one of my favourite albums of all time, but then I grew up a little. There is a magical chemistry between Robert Plant and the band that never fails to be seized on each release, they are incredibly ... read more
I am in love with the cover art I think it’s fantastic. The 40s comic style and palette is extremely visually pleasing and with the setting being space and the topic being feelings it reinforces a pretty cool metaphor. The title ‘Feels’ is super bold and ambitious for an album’s depiction of the topic and I feel like it gets pulled off well enough. The impression of ‘being in your feels’ is spot on and it feels personal when we’re this close with Snoh ... read more
Sometimes I be listening and think "Did you have a voice crack or were you singing?"
Nah but on some real shit some of the cuts on here were really unexpectedly catchy, I could not have predicted the production choices later in the record from just hearing the first 3 tracks. My personal favorite moments are the LOUD hook on Where You're Coming From and the charred guitar plucks in the bridge of the same song, definitely a big contender for my country song of the year. I think the ... read more
Earth, Wind & Fire in 2023?!?!?!?!?!
Instrumentally this album is very charming but most of the production choices about vocal manipulation don't hit well at all. I'm a big fan of the luxurious moments on here like the ending of How Does It Make You Feel, actually all of the endings sound lush and meticulous and they make each song just that 10% more enjoyable. I think I like this about as much as the original JAGUAR. There are songs on here that are groovy no brainers that are a bit of ... read more
whatever these singles are leading up to is gonna be a serious abstract hip-hop aoty contender
Damn this school more magical than Hogwarts.
SPELLLING IS BACK! and she still hasn’t realised the spelling mistake in her name. The Mystery School has a rich and claustrophobic climate which in my mind looks like being inside a thick fluorescent light green cloud just like the cover.
Emotions are vengeful and harsh in the first half of the track list, then becoming more somber track by track. The pacing is done extremely well where I feel slowly released from the energy of one track ... read more
Really great breakout for her that I still listen to today. The house, dance, hip-hop and pop amalgamation on 1991 is a collage of what Azealia can bring to the table artistically and could offer these genres at large. Its not perfect but the talent and insight is present.
This cover art goes so crazy.
I have on-and-off enjoyed Fear Fun for about 10 months now and I have consistently felt the same. I love the first third of the LP the most, I think it is playful and adventurous with its lyrics while being romantic and sexy at different points. It is completely out of sorts like a mean salvia trip after the first two songs, there are contrasting feelings and emotions that are sewed into the tracks like I'm Writing a Novel which topically is not complex but ... read more
Dawg think she Demon Days 💀
ALICIA is a work at making an identity album and at that is does super well, I think Keys puts out some of her most personal material on here that isn’t in the realm of love. The first half had a lot of quite badly formulated ideas with even worse execution but things pick up in the second half. I’m not shitting you this has some of her best songs of all time here like Perfect Way To Die which is a PERFECTly performed (you guessed it) piano ballad ... read more
Every single hook has a stupid fucking accent which is like nails on a chalkboard and to make it worse he puts like 10 vocal layers over it, complete track sabotage.
Recovery is way less of a recovery to form for Em, I’m glad he is sober and all but the music he made on drugs was WAY better than this, not that he should go back to them or anything. There are something like 3 songs that I can assuredly say are “good”, Cold Wind Blows especially that one goes crazy. It is such ... read more
I don’t like Kiss The Go-Goat as much as others do. The lyrics are way more corny and super odd, “you’ve been daddied by all the dudes that were not dad“, WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?! But luckily Mary On A Cross totally saves the day, this song is super well rounded and the infectious hook is sure to stay in your head all day. I get that Ghost needed two songs to be able to print Mary On A Cross on a 7”, but they probably should have chosen a better single for side A.
Wow I really felt that when he said

Everywhere a moo-moo

I listened to this six times just to figure out why people think this is EP of the year. After my thorough research I can tell you this is the most vanilla and by the book pop music I have heard all year.
Addison Rae is a good vocalist but can’t find write for shit, I think that’s why the only good song on here is the one written by Charli XCX even if I wanted a lot more from it. Songs like I got it bad show that Addison has got the voice for the part, but the plain and BORING ... read more

On Chelsea Girl Nico is able to bring her audience the exact experience they were looking for after discovering her through The Velvet Underground. The 10 tracks offered are all unique and have distinct and recognisable sounds to each of them, not one is less interesting than the others.
Nico shows she can hold a note for more than a breath on songs like Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams or The Fairest Of The Seasons. She also demonstrates she is here ... read more
Miles Davis puts his mind, heart and soul into this LP to show off the head, shoulders, knees and toes of the limitless creative nature that we call music.
Bitches Brew is probably the best jazz album I have ever heard. I have been on and off listening to this for a year now so I need to share my experience with someone because my friends don’t really get jazz like I do.
It goes without saying that this is a gateway to a new form of comprehension. Miles Davis and his crew craft a very ... read more
If someone says this is the best song from control you don’t disagree.
LMFAO yeah I was trippin 💀. can’t believe I was saying this was her best project. my friends had to put me in check. honestly super strong start and end but the middle is so mixed. most of the ideas on here aren’t fully visualised or realised, we can only hope we get better next time.
Blue balls: the album
Kanye west needs no introduction he is one of the best musical creatives of all time. Mega influential, talented and will be recorded as one of if not the most game changing rapper/producer (as this record demonstrates perfectly). I think that the production on Yeezus is spectacular even if it has low moments but Ye just misses the ball park way too much on the rapping front. His bars are so stupid and boring on the song I'm In It that you can only assume that he is ... read more
