With this possibility of Linkin Park coming back with Bonnie as the vocalist, i was curious of how she sings for more than that clip with Mike. So i took that curiosity to know her band and there was a new album just released!
And one thing i got from this listening was: even if Bonnie's not linkin park's new vocalist, i just became a fan of her band. This is SUCH A FUN BAND to listen to. Great songs, great ideas, great vocals, great use of the nu-metal usual sounds and making it ... read more
So yeah! First time listening to NMIXX and god, it was GOOD. You can HEAR that they are from JYP. You just can tell. But for this group i think the " JYP music structure " was not so in your face. I know i'm writing like this is their debut album or something but i know it's not. It's just because it's my first time listening to them.
The songs are creative, it has a bit of modern gg sound like IVE does on one of the tracks. It has some new ideas with some other ... read more
Im not from the US so country music it's not part of my culture. It's all kinda new to me here. This is a first time listening to a full country album ever in my life.
It's repetitive but i think it's so cool to see him going for those good vocals, going to a total different direction on his career. He's doing his thing and i appreciate it. But hope he goes or for something else or back to rap.
The first thing to say here it's: who thought that 18 tracks was ... read more
yes, she's short and sweet. but this here it's generic and forgettable. think of the most generic song possible, on every level. It's not bad. It's just generic.
Track by track review as i was listening to it:
1 Taste - 35/100
The most generic radio shit you can think of. It's not BAD. it's just... whatever.
2 Please Please Please - 55/100
A Madonna early stuff vibe here. But just slightly on the instrumentals. The vocals still... whatever. I don't ... read more
I was super excited for that. Taemin, for me, it's the best solo artist in whole Korea. Specially this being his first full album under his new label.
I think Taemin got to a level that he has a sound that sounds like Taemin. And he was able to capture that on this album. All songs sounds like songs i expect from Taemin. That's good but also bad. Because it's good songs with great performance from him, but nothing " new " that will change the industry like he did ... read more
I know everyone hates the band and nothing they do matter. But i'll try to be honest with my review here.
It's a boring album with some good moments. The good moments became singles (voices in my head, watch the world burn) but we have so many BAD SONGS here. And the ones that are neither bad or good, it's just boring. This album's a skip.
They live concerts must be so fucking fun tho. Would go to a concert.

1 Prequel - ... read more
Second EP was really bad, with only XXL being good, wich was a big disappointment for me because i really fucking liked XXL and hoped the album was in the same level.
On this one i think they have better production, but the album works only on the first 2 songs, and it's really bad on the last 2 songs. I wish i could rewind the time to stop me to press play on Bananas. Thats just bad, really bad. Umbrella it's bad because it sounds like a bad demo song but at least you can listen to ... read more
4th album in a row of hers. Expecting that this has more of that nice guitars of the last album, explores more of that different elements, and wishing for some new approach on vocals. /
Every album she gets more and more mature on what she want's to do and how she want's her music to sound like. I loved EVERY SINGLE idea she had for this album. So good. But i don't know if she can go much further than this. I think she found it and there isn't much she can do, i think, to ... read more
My 3rd album in a row of hers. First two albums was really good. The first one sounds like she was experimenting with what sound she wanted to do, second one sounded like the idea has matured, and now i'm curious of what she will do. Expecting many classics from this. /
The guitars on this album was such a good add to her sound. Like, the turn that Texas Reznikoff does when the guitars comes changes everything. That distorted guitar on the beginning of I Dont Smoke. Like, that's ... read more
My second album of hers. First one was really good but not that original, this one i think it might be better since she debuted with such a high level on everything. Lets see what i think about it. Track by track review in the end.
So okay, just listened to the whole thing and indeed is a slightly better material than the previous one. Still, nothing AMAZING, or out of this world, but yes i see she's even more confident to explore new sounds, new ways to sing, and get deeper and deeper ... read more
So let's start my saga through all of her albums. Don't know shit about her, maybe know the type of vibe her songs have. But not really sure.
For a debut album this is really something else. She starts her career with amazing lyrics, amazing production, great ideas for instrumentals. But nothing really different from other similar songs out there. Nothing really out of this world, except Liquid Smooth (that one i've became a fan of).
She's great in everything here, but ... read more
I think what a lot of people feel with Maneskin it's the same they feel for Ed Sheeran: they know they are good... but the fact that it's too mainstream takes all the enjoyment for those people.
And i see why people didn't like a bunch of songs here. The ones where they go for the 100% " radio sound " it's too obvious and too generic. But i really like when they go back to the italian, or the sad songs. I think the best songs they have it's those really ... read more
This is one of the best surprise the world had on the 2020's rock scene, going for that mainstream
. Maneskin it's one of those bands that got really huge because of one song, everyone thought they were going to be just that one cover and that's all, but nah. They really know their stuff and put out this AMAZING FUCKING GREAT album and made a really BIG first impression on everybody.
I really want to mention how crazy good Coraline, Zitti E Buoni and Vent'anni are. ... read more
I was so so so curious about this album. Like, after listening to all of their albums one after another, coming from the first one to now, i was really curious on how they would sound with the 2020 album.
I was really shocked when i listened to it. They really went all in. They got what didn't work on the experimentation they did on the last album, took eveything that worked so far, mixed all together and created this MASTERPIECE. MASTER FUCKING PIECE. Dude, this is a band with NO BAD ... read more
So okay, 2016 Deftones album. 21 years after the first record.
They are not the malancholic kids they were back in the first albums. Of course it's a transition but i think this one it's the first one i hear and i can see how mature they are now. They sound more sober in a way. And i think their influences for this one it's a lot more clear, and a few people didn't vibed with it, like in the track Geometric Headdress that you can hear the Tool influence on the track. And ... read more
This one is very similar to the last album. Nothing " new " or not even a evolution of what they gave us with the previous one. it seems more like a part2 of the last one. And since it was good, this one's also good.
I think Chino's vocals here goes more for the melodic and different techniques than he tried before in his career. He sounds better as a singer here than ever before. The whole band it's playing the best they ever played. And by now, the lyrics it's ... read more
I was really curious to hear what the 2010's Deftones would sound like, after a strike of 4 albums in a row that i've listened of them.
This is the best album out of the 5 first albums. This is really something special. You can see how the technology of the 2010's helped them sound even better. And besides that, the lyrics and melodies are so much better with this album. Not that the last ones had bad melodies, but this one has better ones. Lyrics on the other hand, it's ... read more
While the previous record did absolutly nothing new, this one, right on the 11th year of the band, more than a decade of career and with a well known sound, it was good for them to aim for something a little bit different this time. It was time.
It sounds like they all evolved a lot more and wanted to make a agressive but appealing to first listeners record with some refreshing ideas, but maintaining the core sound that made them famous.
Here we have so many cool ideas that worked, so many ... read more
I think after 3 successful albums, it's easy for them to make some songs work and to play safe. And that's what i see they did here. It's not that much different from the others. Maybe a little less loud and less " aggressively sad " and more melancholic. But just a little bit. It's almost the same thing. Deathblow it's one of the cases where they step into something a little bit different. But yeah, not that much.
This is not an album i would recommend ... read more
So, this is everything the first and second album was, but better and with new cool ideas. They mastered the sound that made them famous and now they do it in a much higher level. But the sound that got me really excited for the next albums was Passenger. Because although i like the sound of the first two albums, this one brings more of a " tool " vibe to it, and i really want to hear an album with that sound in specific and i hope the next ones has it.
This is the best of the first ... read more
