You're telling me he spent 6 years and $30 million to make this absolute bloated snoozefest of a record? The only things saving it from a red rating are the few standout tracks in the first half and my love for MJ's previous material.
It's clear she had potential back then, but some of these songs just feel like short snippets rather than full tracks. Right as you go "hmm, that's getting interesting", the song ends.
It lacks the punch that a good thrash album should have and these songs are way longer than they need to be
"from the screen to the ring to the pen to the king" aah song
Symphonic metal that's actually pretty damn great and not boring. I didn't know it was possible. I feel like this could be a great introduction to extreme metal as a whole for a newbie
A classic band making their magnum opus decades into their career is not something you see everyday
Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith are back and it feels as if they never left
This album annoys me. I've been a Poppy fan for some time and loved how she completely switched her sound on every album and wasn't afraid of experimenting. However this just feels like a bunch of leftovers from the Negative Spaces sessions. Some songs, especially in the first half, had something going for them, but all interesting ideas got bulldozed by the Fish-Cervini Octanecore Slop Machine™.
Heavy as hell for an 80's album. It must've blown people's minds back then
My brother came to the room while I was listening to The Mighty Masturbator and asked what I was watching
After refusing to, I finally decided to check it out to see if it's as bad as people were saying and man it's worse. 20 minutes of the worst things about Sleep Token with terrible production and no riffs. If I had to look for redeeming qualities, then the chorus of Fearless is kinda decent. If only it wasn't attached to a garbage song.
