To describe this album. It's basically New Wave Pin-Ups with some decent originals. That closer is so goofy though.
Just a good crop of new wave david bowie. And it vibes. Nothing too exceptional. Yet nothing bad.
Decent listen. But if all songs were like the ones from side 2. It would be MUCH higher.
I would say that I was left a bit disappointed compared to Low. Ambient tracks are least interesting yet the highs on this are ABSOLUTELY HIGH. Title track is GOATED
This album shocked me. First side of bangers, second side of ambience to sleep to (in a good way) i'm just gonna say it. This is better than Ziggy Stardust. Drugs made Station To Station, yet sobriety made this.
Not for me. I'm used to psychedelic so I know what's good. But i'm not a fan of this.
Yeah Yeah. Still on track. I wasn't a fan of the Aladdin Sane cover, but THIS? nah. And it would have been horrible having the back cover too.
Decent album. But boy I am not a fan of that cover. Call it iconic if you want. But I feel like he's about to open his eyes and grab me with him.
Good it is. Though i believe hunky dory is almost the same level of it.
Hoky macaroni this clicked with me fast. 3 days in and it feels like i know it all by heart. Before I was curious of how incredible David Bowie could be. And now eyes of mine are getting opened. AND THEY SAY ZIGGY IS BETTER! I have to check that out now.
Hard rock style means it will go hard. Every album just improves. Especially the transition of 3 minute garbage to 5 minute or longer complex tracks. Surprisingly, the title track on this is not my favorite (a bit too repetetive) but everything else still remains good. Nothing too horrible.
Compared to the beginning. The improvement is great and I would take this anyday. But the tracks on here are either bangers or forgettable mediocrity. There is no in-between.
Now that I'm done with the Beatles. It's time for the one and only David Bowie. And I'm starting from the beggining. Harsh begginings. Because this is awful. Just listen to Please Mr Dravedigger and you'd see why. I sure hope it gets LOADS better.
Amazing. Some say an album is a form of art rather than just singles. This is one of them. New favorite album now. I guess I like the depressing stuff.
As a final album. This feels a bit empty. But in a way that makes me appreciate this a lot. Most songs sound like a limbo of early and later beatles. Anyway, good. Title track is goated.
[insert 93 abbey road review here]
This number speaks for itself. Great. A masterpiece i shall perhaps say.
Update: revolver grew on me like a fungus
Half an album. Half the rating. But everything in here is still good so 10 points extra
