Kanye West - Late Registration

The reason why my Watch the Throne review sounds so negative is because I listened to that album after finishing this one, which revealed it to be quite the disappointment. This album is definitely one on Kanye's best projects, with its classic rap sound and well written lyrics coming together to make a quintessential 2000s rap record. I find some of Kanye's other projects more interesting however, though this is definitely the most generally likeable Kanye album.

JAY-Z & Kanye West - Watch the Throne

There's very little substance to this album outside of the two or three tracks that I see myself coming back to. It's surprising that an artist who just capped of a 5-album streak with mbdtf would make something like this and release it.

JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - SCARING THE HOES
75

It seems like rap is deep inside the experimental era, with most of Rap's biggest and most successful releases this year being experimental hip hop. Fun!

Scaring The Hoes was both the first Danny Brown Record I've listened to and the first JPEGMAFIA record I've listened to. It was very interesting learning about both of these artist's specific styles. The album as a whole was a very unique experience, even if it wasn't an extraordinary one, at least for me. Maybe I don't have the taste for ... read more

The highlights of this album carry this rating, because I didn't see the appeal of most of these tracks.

Favorite Tracks: Pt. 1, Fade

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS

Peak of both Kanye and Cudi's careers here.

Spiritbox - The Fear of Fear
80

I lost my album day streak :( life caught up with me unfortunately. It's alright though, We keep going.

The Fear Of Fear by Spiritbox is a rollercoaster EP, with really high highs and some rather boring lows. Ended on a high note, but after 2 years of nothing from them id expect a little more from an EP.

The Stupendium - The Ribbon (Alan Wake II Song)
60

It's so well written, however this song suffers from the same issue a lot of modern stupendium songs do; they are more stories than songs. That's fine and it definitely appeals to some people, but for me I would like a balence of the two, and recent stupes songs focus more on story than song, which makes the songs themselves not really enjoyable even if the writing is on another level

JT Music - All Five Nights
70

Jt music is good at making Nerdcore that's fun and silly, which is why it's hard for me to give them a bad score. Their music is goofy and proud.

Suicide - Suicide

Spooky Album #31
Suicide is an album of its time. For the time I'm sure these songs were groundbreaking, but nowadays, there's not much that justifies listening to this album in the current era.

Korn - Korn

Spooky Album #30
I was having a good time, jamming to some Korn, then Daddy happened and now I'm speechless.

I don't know why but this is so fun to me

Taylor Swift - 1989 (Taylor’s Version) [Deluxe]
NR

I'm not gonna give this reissue a separate rating because the only reason this exists is because of the Kendrick remix, so I'll talk about that and rate that alone.

82/100
Kendrick of course makes bad blood actually good, but of all songs for Kendrick to remix, Bad Blood was a really weird one to choose. I vibe with it, I just find it interesting that they chose one of the worst tracks off of 1989.

Taylor Swift - 1989 (Taylor's Version)
75

I grew up during the time where almost every song off this album was played to death, so I wasn't super exciting to revisit those songs for Taylor's remastered version of 1989. There are a lot of good songs on here, but I cannot justify giving this album a higher rating than this.

Favorite Track: This Love
Least Fave Track: Shake It Off

Alice in Chains - Alice in Chains

Spooky Album #29
Maybe this is super offensive to grunge fans, but this album sounds like a worse nirvana album. Still l
Good tho

As I Lay Dying - An Ocean Between Us

Spooky Album #28
I mean... Its alright. Pretty meh and nothing mind-blowing but nothing too bad either.

BoyWithUke - Toxic

Singing is clean as fuck, shame the song sucks

The Living Tombstone - FNAF (Goth Remix)
70

It's a fine remix, I wish the chorus hit a little harder because it's kinda weak

I liked, and still like, metal albums that can slow down to breathe every once in a while. I think if I gave this album another listen I might change my opinion though!"
