Spooky Album #27
It's pretty good, a lot of these songs have the potential to be great, but the production ruins it. Also using AI art for your music video is really lame
Going into this, I knew I was going to like this album more than most. maybe it's because I listened to this album as a kid and some nostalgia caused me to like songs that I otherwise wouldn't, but I personally think this album is more enjoyable than encore. Yeah, the songwriting is bad on most tracks and the disses are nonsense, but some of these tracks are actually enjoyable, and even on some bad tracks I can get some ironic enjoyment out of.
I dont know why this is marked as a compilation, its a remix, but ok. there are a few dud remixes here and the good remixes are just basic and boring.
Spooky Album #25
I wish these instrumentals weren't wasted on tracks with this disgusting of a topic and this horrible of a death metal singer. I understand the brutal nature of this album, and how the singing fits the aesthetic of the album, but honestly I would rather have good vocals when discussing such disgusting subject matter rather than what we have, because it makes the album unlistenable in every aspect outside the instrumentals.
This album is leaps and bounds ahead of any other Kendrick project, hot take. it's not even close. TPAB may be the one everyone adores, but this is Kendrick at his best for me, and I'm not sure how he can get any better. one of the best rap records of all time.
Give it away was one of the first rock songs I've ever heard, and because of that I was excited to listen to RHCP's breakout album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Funk Rock is an odd genre to me, and because of that I didn't enjoy this album as much as others would.
Spooky Album #23
After doing Kid A and Amnesiac, I decided to listen to what will likely be Radiohead's last record, A Moon Shaped Pool. This album feels like a final goodbye from Radiohead, accumulating all of the best parts of Radiohead's discography into one emotional record. They put their all into this project, flexing their talent one last time.
I'm disappointed it took me this long to listen to a Deftones record. Every track on here is gold.
Spooky Album #22
After listening to Kid A for my spooky album of the day yesterday, I decided it would be fun to listen to Kid A's follow-up/sequel, Amnesiac. This album is... not as a good as Kid A. There's a few flops here, and the album as a whole isn't as refined. There are some amazing tracks here though.
ONE MORE TIME... was an album I was very excited to listen to, because I loved the single ONE MORE TIME. i finally got around to listening to it and honestly, the final album isn't that bad. It has the soul of the old albums but with the new sound, and it's a pleasant experience to listen to throughout, despite what many reviews may claim. It's a fun album, but nothing groundbreaking, which it didn't need to be.
bro thinks hes vivivivivi with that album cover
Spooky Album #21
I have spent the entire month listening to horror themed albums every day. And while a lot of them have some scary themes or over art or whatever, the songs themselves haven't been all too scary or unsettling. That is not the case for Kid A. This album, especially the first half, was extremely unsettling in all the right ways to me. I loved every single track and base everything that makes Radiohead so good to me. I adore this album.
