The Lonely Island - The Wack Album
75

From a musical standpoint, I wouldn't find myself normally listening to the mid-2010's production with the dubstep sonics and the dated pop sound. However, this album isn't meant to be listened to from a musical standpoint as the lyrics are comedic, raunchy, and very fun. I Run NY is a hilarious twist and subversion of expectations. YOLO is the only song on here I could see myself normally listening to from a musical standpoint. Features like Kendrick Lamar and Billie Joe Armstrong are ... read more

Paramore - Paramore

Paramore's self-titled fourth studio album is in my opinion their best. It isn't easy to create a consistent 17 song album but they more than managed to do that. With the energetic opener Fast in My Car the album evolves into more of a poppy record with some acoustic interludes. The album ends on a strong note with near perfection from Hate to See Your Heart Break until the closer: Future. Other than some songs in the middle of the album that I don't personally care for, I don't have any ... read more

Bruno Major - To Let A Good Thing Die

A lot of people probably won't agree with this but here we go. This is my favorite indie pop album ever. My girlfriend liked this album so I decided to give it a listen and my expectations were blown out of the water. Its runtime isn't very long but it executes its goals to the fullest. To many it's just another cute indie pop record to listen to in the background of one's life. To me it's a masterpiece.

Cage the Elephant - Social Cues

I didn't even realize this album got hate until I went to review it. While it may fall flat towards the end (not including Tokyo Smoke), the first 8 tracks are pure musical bliss. From Social Cues to Love's The Only Way might be one of my favorite album runs of all time.

Metro Boomin - HEROES & VILLAINS
65

Wasn't super in love with this album. On Time is an amazing opener that had me really excited for the rest of this album. Didn't really care for much after that until the song run that stretches from Metro Spider to Walk Em Down.

MICHELLE - AFTER DINNER WE TALK DREAMS
80

This album is just fun. There's no other way to put it. It can get a bit repetitive and samey-samey at some points in the record, but overall it is a very exciting listen.

Kanye West - Yeezus
70

I honestly wanted to like this album more than I did. However, I still enjoyed it a lot. There are an abundance of good songs on this album even though it falls short for me on tracks like Guilt Trip and Send It Up.

Pink Floyd - Animals
75

I've never listened to an album with only five songs with a runtime of over 40 minutes. It was definitely a new experience of music and structure for me. Although the songs can feel a bit too drawn out at points, I really enjoyed this album.

The Hails - He Seems Upset
90

This album blew me away. The only thing that holds it back is its very short runtime of under 25 minutes. If this album was maybe 15 minutes longer with the consistency it delivers it has the possibility of being a 100. It's all thriller no filler.

Big Thief - Capacity
70

Capacity is an album that can only be appreciated in a certain headspace. The first time I listened I was completely uninterested in the album. Only after some relistens did I fully appreciate what this album is supposed is doing. Lenker's delicate voice is really the highlight of this album.

Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil

This album was exciting at times. I really enjoyed Seize the Day. I'm not a metalhead so I might be giving this album a lower score than it deserves, but some of these songs are *way* too drawn out to be enjoyable. *sonic music intensifies*

Metallica - Metallica

The hit songs on this album are good, but the rest of it falls flat for me. It can be way too over-the-top at times.

The Voidz - Tyranny
75

One of my favorite surprise finds of the year. Julian Casablancas' vocals on this album with the edgy synth production make this album so exciting to listen to. Human Sadness and Dare I Care are so inventive and interesting I find myself revisiting them often.

Arctic Monkeys - AM
70

This album has some standout tracks in Do I Wanna Know?, R U Mine?, Arabella, No. 1 Party Anthem, Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?, and I Wanna Be Yours. Other than that, this album falls short. The overall production and vibe is good enough for a 70, however.

Cage the Elephant - Melophobia
90

I have a hard time believing that Cage The Elephant has a better album than this. It just screams "peak" in every way. The only songs on this album I don't care for are Black Widow and Teeth, but everything else is a musical masterpiece.

Stephen Sanchez - Easy On My Eyes
65

This album has some very high highs, with tracks like Until I Found You. But the middle of the album is somewhat forgettable for me. It also is really short and feels more like an EP than an album.

Brandon Flowers - The Desired Effect
60

A fun album from the lead singer of The Killers. This album doesn't have a very high ceiling but also doesn't have a low floor. It falls into my brain as an album that I enjoyed but probably won't be coming back to.

System of a Down - Toxicity
55

As someone who isn't a metalhead, I feel like I don't have the right to give Toxicity the rating I did. But as someone who enjoys rock music, I feel like this album does a lot of things well, but is killed by the amount of filler tracks.

Juice WRLD - Fighting Demons
25

It's like listening to a mixtape with incomplete demos. The only song I actually enjoyed was Burn, solely because of Metro's production. Everything else was the longest hour of my life.

Matt Maltese - Krystal

Bad Contestant is better, change my mind.
