Halloweens - Morning Kiss at the Acropolis
85

I enjoyed this album a lot more than I thought I would. This album is really fun from start to end. It's vulnerable and emotional while also avoiding sounding like every other break up album. Ur Kinda Man goes hard.

Djo - DECIDE

This guy knows how to write music. I thought Twenty Twenty was alright, but holy- this blows it out of the water. The whole album is amazing from front to back. I honestly don't see him topping this. One of my favorite albums of all time.

Ashe - Ashlyn
85

It’s always exciting to see a good debut album from any artist, and Ashe delivers with her full length LP Ashlyn. This album does not suffer from being lackluster on the back-end like many albums of this length do. She delivers a very fun and bitter pop sound very distinct from other modern pop records. My favorites are Till Forever Falls Apart, I’m Fine, Love Is Not Enough, Me Without You, Save Myself, Taylor, Not Mad Anymore, Moral of the Story, Serial Monogamist, and Kansas.

Weezer - Weezer (White Album)
85

Considered one of their better albums, the White Album is one of the more consistent pieces of Weezer’s discography. The summery vibes that this album is themed around are very fun to listen to, and really give you that feeling of summer. My favorites on this album are California Kids, Wind in Our Sail, Thank God for Girls, (Girl We Got A) Good Thing, King of the World, L.A. Girlz, Jacked Up, and I Love the USA.

Weezer - SZNZ: Summer
75

A much better record than the previous SZNZ: Spring. Summer is much heavier in comparison to the lighter, more fun sounding Spring. With the opening Lawn Chair, there is a clear transition from the Spring sound into the Summer sound. The riff in Blue Like Jazz is fantastic, and the dark bridge in The Opposite Of Me is captivating. My favorites were Lawn Chair, Records, Blue Like Jazz, The Opposite Of Me, and Thank You and Good Night.

Weezer - SZNZ: Spring

After a very promising lead single, A Little Bit of Love, I expected a lot more from this EP. The sound of Spring is definitely captured throughout the 7 songs, however it feels quite cheesy at some parts with biblical and Shakespearean references. I enjoyed Opening Night and A Little Bit of Love.

Weezer - OK Human
95

With Weezer being one of the more consistent sounding bands, coming out of nowhere with an entirely experimental album was quite pleasant. Produced with an entire orchestra at hand, Cuomo reinvents his sound with some of the funnest and brightest production and melodies on a Weezer album to date. My favorites were All My Favorite Songs, Aloo Gobi, Grapes Of Wrath, Numbers, Playing My Piano, Screens, Bird With A Broken Wing, Dead Roses, and Here Comes The Rain.

twenty one pilots - Scaled and Icy
75

The first listen was quite disappointing to say the least. I loved Trench to pieces and was hoping for more of that sound, instead the other end of the spectrum was given. After re-listening a couple times, this album has grown on me. Shy Away gives me a special feeling every time I listen to it, and so does Choker. My favorites on this album were Good Day, Choker, Shy Away, The Outside, Saturday, Bounce Man, No Chances, and Redecorate.

twenty one pilots - Blurryface
85

Their most popular album to date, Blurryface absolutely crushed it in the popularity aspect. Hits like Stressed Out and Ride bring back a lot of nostalgia, but the album also delivers on the backend. The production is much less dated and gimmicky, but still retains the Twenty One Pilots sound. Again, I love every single song on this album, although some more than others.

twenty one pilots - Vessel
85

With Vessel being another extremely nostalgic record for me, it is going to get another high score. The production on this album is yet again very dated, but the vocal performance significantly improved from their debut album. There is not a song on this album that I do not enjoy, which is a very common theme for most Twenty One Pilots albums for me.

twenty one pilots - twenty | one | pilots
70

This album holds a lot of nostalgia for me, and so does most of Twenty One Pilots’ discography, so despite its dated production and somewhat annoying vocal performances, I still thoroughly enjoy this album. It is an interesting debut to say the least, but it is very good. My favorites are Implicit Demand For Proof, Fall Away, The Pantaloon, Addict With A Pen, Friend, Please, Johnny Boy, Oh Ms Believer, Air Catcher, Trapdoor, Before You Start Your Day, and Isle Of Flightless Birds.

Weezer - Pinkerton
50

Many fans also consider this to be their best album, as both the Blue Album and Pinkerton are considered their best two albums. I however did not nearly enjoy this album as much as many people do. I found many of the songs to be produced poorly and overall filler sounding tracks. It is also supposed to be a darker album, but many of the lyrics are very dumbed down versions of these said darker feelings. That being said, I did still enjoy a handful of tracks on this album, those being Tired of ... read more

Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)
95

By many fans it is considered their best album, the Blue Album has to be one of the greatest debut albums of all time. This album for me definitely has the advantage of many re-listens as I thoroughly enjoy it. I enjoy every song on this album, but my favorites are My Name Is Jonas, The World Has Turned And Left Me Here, Buddy Holly, Undone - The Sweater Song, Surf Wax America, Say It Ain’t So, In The Garage, Holiday, and Only In Dreams.

Coldplay - Music of the Spheres
60

This album’s theme is space, and all of the sounds that would encapsulate that idea. They go as far as having “aliens” singing one of the songs, the song being Biutyful, which is one of the most annoying songs I’ve ever heard. Each song has its own made-up planet to go with it. I think that the sounds they go for on this album work very well, and they even expand out to collabs with BTS (which I wasn’t a huge fan of). My favorites were Higher Power, ❤️, People ... read more

Coldplay - Everyday Life
40

Coldplay branches out culturally in this album with multiple languages being showcased such as French, Spanish, and even Arabic. The album is supposed to encapsulate the feeling of everyday life, which I think it does well, but this concept allows for a lot of filler sounding songs. The best on this album were Trouble In Town, Daddy, Orphans, and Cry Cry Cry.

Coldplay - A Head Full of Dreams
40

With Adventure of a Lifetime being blasted on every radio station known to man, this album was a commercial success. As of its release it is probably the most pop-centric album of all of them. The sound that this album develops has a lot of potential but overall was somewhat boring and formulaic to listen to. My favorites were Hymn for the Weekend, Adventure of a Lifetime, and Amazing Day.

Coldplay - Ghost Stories
20

Definitely my least favorite of their albums. It felt very uninspired, almost as if they released only because it had been three years since their last one. Almost every single song on this album felt the same and drawn out. The only one I really enjoyed on this album was the hit song, A Sky Full of Stars. Even the hit on this album felt like a very generic, formulaic dance song meant to boost album sales.

Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto
50

This album continued to head toward the more poppy sound while still keeping their original acoustic Coldplay sound. While this album I did not find as good as their previous, it still has one of my favorite songs of theirs, Paradise. My favorites on this album were Paradise, Charlie Brown, Major Minus, Princess of China, and Up with the Birds.

Coldplay definitely broadens their sound with this album. They expand outside of the realm of mainly acoustic songs. It also had some pieces that were much longer than previous albums. Yes, a seven minute song turned out to be one of my favorites. Speaking of which, my favorites were: Lost!, 42, Yes, Viva La Vida, and Violet Hill.

Coldplay - X&Y
60

What started as a pretty underwhelming album came out to be actually pretty good by the end. It has the song Fix You which I did not even realize was a Coldplay song until it started playing, but I’ve heard it a million times before. It definitely feels like an extension of their previous album, as they religiously stick to their previous sounds. My favorites were: Fix You, Speed of Sound, A Message, Low, Twisted Logic, and Til Kingdom Come.
