This feels like if you took Soilwork or Disarmonia Mundi from the mid 2000s, removed everything good or memorable about it, and then added a couple of my least favorite aspects of modern In Flames. What you’re left with is the melodic metalcore equivalent of eating popcorn, it sounds okayish if you don’t think but it’s completely unfulfilling in any way. Except popcorn at least gets stuck in your teeth; NOTHING about this album will stick with you.

Pretty interesting genre mix here, it’s kind of like post black metal with chiptune/nintendocore elements mixed in? I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up coming back to this album and raising my rating after relistening
Excellent throughout but lacks an extra bit of memorability that would REALLY push it over the top for me
