I need to be honest here, J cole is my most played artist ever. 4yeo is in my top 3 albums ever. this album is barely scraping by though. Unbelievably disappointing, especially in the second half.
front to back having a blast with this album, the consistent genre switching breaks at the end of most of the songs is a fun gimmick and his vocals have really grown on me. love the danceable tracks and the some of the slower ones are super nice as well. defenitley a must listen and highly reccomend to any fan of music.
favs: bloodbath (dance): Dumpster Fire: Aired Out: Thousand yard stare: Dont be like Mouse: The Way i should
The third album has hit music, and it is revolutionary. Quad has long been my favorite artist and this album just makes him better. as long as i could talk about the story and lyrics, i think this album is best felt in the flow. the track to track feel is unmatched in recent releases and this year has been no stranger to incredible albums in this space. obviously im only one listen in right now so i cant say 10. but god its close
king crimson was on the cutting edge of prog rock going into the 70s, paving the way for pretty much every other prog band to see real critical success. their soundscapes and sound selection were second to none and the worlds they built within their albums still hold strong to this day. a few of these songs blend into eachother as the albums runs but when the songs hit, they hit with force and energy.
