Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man - Out of Season
93

Year 2002 (4/12)

I really liked this, but I do feel like there should've been like 2 more songs. Other than that, this album is fantastic. The only Drake we're listening to is the one on this album.

Best songs: Mysteries, Tom the Model, Sand River, Spider Monkey, Drake, Funny Time of the Year
Worst song: Rustin Man

Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
100

Year 2002 (3/12)

I don't remember this being THIS good. What an album bro.

Best songs: love them all equally

Scarface - The Fix
97

Year 2002 (2/12)

Okay i see why oldheads love him so much... I also EXTREMELY love the christian raps here. Scarface is an absolute beast on this album and the a lot of incredible instrumentals pair up with him super well. I was expecting him to be harsh and spit fast but this is so so so much better.

Best songs: Safe, In Cold Blood, Guess Who's Back, My Block, In Between Us, Someday, Heaven
worst song: Sellout

Alexisonfire - Alexisonfire
74

Year 2003 (1/12)

I mean it's alright. A bit overrated though. Had to deduct a few points because it was very boring and not that creative, so the track ratings don't match the score.

Best song: Adelleda
Worst song: Counterparts and Number Them

久石譲 [Joe Hisaishi] - 千と千尋の神隠し [Spirited Away Soundtrack]
96

Year 2001 (12/12)

Worst song: Whore

Techno Animal - The Brotherhood of the Bomb
78

Year 2001 (10/12)

I was actually the most excited to hear this one. It surprised me that this duo are producers and not rappers, so thats interesting! Dalek and El-P and Rubberoom had incredible performances.

Best songs: Cruise Mode 101, Robosapien, We Can Build You and Hell.
Worst song: Sub Species

Sparklehorse - It's a Wonderful Life

SRBIJA JE TREBALA DA POBEDI!!!

The Dismemberment Plan - Change
92

Year 2001 (8/12)

I actually did not expect to love it this much. I liked their '99 album a lot, but I didn't think this would be able to top it at all. I'll have to relisten to the mentioned '99 album, but I think this might be better. Really good loud singing throughout the album and some of the best instrumentation in Indie Rock, especially on the Time Bomb and The Other Side

best songs: Sentimental Man, The Face of the Earth, Superpowers, Following Through, Time Bomb, ... read more

Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra - "Born Into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward"

Best songs: Duvet, Twilight and Fool
Worst song: One Day

cLOUDDEAD - cLOUDDEAD
78

Year 2001 (5/12)

What did I just listen to... Or relisten to... This is absolutely the weirdest album I've ever heard, but that is actually good.

Best song: Apt. A (1), Apt. A (2), I Promise Never To Get Paint on my Glasses Again (1) and JimmyBreeze (1)
Worst song: I Promise Never To Get Paint on my Glasses Again (2)

Slipknot - Iowa
88

Year 2001 (4/12)

First ever time listening to Slipknot. It was awesome, just wish the 2nd half was as consistent as the first half. First half is some of the best metal music ever. Also NU METAL IS METAL. I also really like the singing on this album, I think it's better than most singing in Nu Metal, especially on My Plague, which is my favorite song here. The outro was a bit boring, I was just scrolling on Pinterest for the entire duration of it, but I gave it extra points because it ... read more

Jeff Mangum - Live at Jittery Joe's

It's a staple of indie rock. I really like that the songs are kind of simple. Anyways, the best song here is Heavy Metal Drummer easily, Jesus Etc. is 2nd.

Best songs: I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, Kamera, Jesus, etc., Ashes of the American Flag, Heavy Metal Drummer, Pot Kettle Black and Reservations
Worst song: Radio Cure

Lily Chou-Chou - 呼吸 (Kokyuu)
100

Year 2001 (1/12)

One of the most beautiful albums ever made. It genuinely sounds like the word "lush". I gotta watch the movie now. Every single sound, every single note of this album is perfect.

Best songs: all of them
No worst song.

HIM - Razorblade Romance

Year 2000 (12/12)

The final album of the year 2000! It was originally meant to be Weakling's Dead As Dreams, but I didnt count it because it independantly released in 1999, so its not a 2000 album, i dont care if the label released it in that year. I'm 100% sure I would've enjoyed Weakling a lot more than this, but I'm glad I checked out this album at least once, considering Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart is one of my favorite songs of all time. Speaking of that song, the ... read more
