Peak Travis Scott. The only reason it's not 100 is because I don't really enjoy the 12th track "Flying High".
This is a grat album by songwritter and producer Travis Scott. It's strong and main point is the production and vibe it has, bringing you in this psychedelic theme park like world. Another main thing are it's features, featuring many great and talented artists of the time, from big names like Drake to new smaller artists like Don Toliver. It's weakness is the writing, not being the gratest but still approaching great themes that are very accesible to the listener.
Eminem's debut album does a grat job at telling you who he is and what he thinks. He is not afraid to speak his mind and puts it out in your face. The technical part of the rapping is very good and the production is mostly great. I think it lacks a bit of variety, most songs giving similar messages but there are some nice concepts on this. Also I hind this interesting and unique.
As someone who enjoys Nudy's music I have to say this is preety bad. Firstly it's nothing new for a trap album and it's below average. The content and bars is the same and even worse than all trap albums, but what surprised me is the production that is lacking in some places. Would like to see more and was left dissapointed.
Classic. Timeless. Masterpiece. This is the best mixtape oat. The fact that he made this at 17 in insane. His performances are outstanding with great flows, lyricism and rhymes. The features are grat and the production in perfect.
This album is pretty double sided. On one hand there's insane bangers (mostly toward the start) but there's also bloat. The production is peak metro, the rapping is a good version of future and the features did not dissapoint. Also it has insane replay value.
As my first interaction with ATCQ's music, this is not what I expected, but it surprised me in a good way. As it says in the title, it focuses a lot on rythm with it's rhymes and beats. It also has some great storytelling. Overall it's a chill album filled with good production and Q-Tip's impressive first performances.
Pop smoke brings a new, unique, sound to hip hop. This album has great production but lacks content wise, being mostly love songs with many akward and corny lyrics. It's guest apperances are both good and bad. This was a solid start for Pop Smoke, showing grat potential for maybe becoming the next king of NY. RIP Pop Smoke
After their debut I expected them to continue their loud, anthem like songs but I was left impressed by this more laid back, chill project. The production is top tier but what really steals the show here is the writing and content of the album. There still are some more energetic songs toward the start of it making for a good balance of vibes. The performances from both Andre and Big Boi are exceptional.
This album was very interesting to me. It wasn't what I expected. The production is top tier, the rapping is elite and the writing is great. The reason it's not perfect and I didn't rate it 100 is because I didn't enjoy the predominantly hardcore and aggresive themes troughout, in the way they done it, and I think in lyrical rap I need to enjoy what I'm being told for an album to be perfect.
This project is highly overshadowed by the beef. If you take out the 7 minute drill removal it's an enjoyable mixtape. The highs are there and very high. There are some misses making it inconsistent but not that many. Overall it's an on project that I feel like without the beef killing it would be much more appreciated
This is good lyrical rap. The production is mostly good but has some flaws and the few features are alright. There is some filler but it's pretty preasand and enjoyable to listen to
This is mid music. The thing going for it is the sound which i'm greatful is not complete earrape like other rage rap and actually it's quite pleasant to listen to. The features are alright, the content and writing is horrible (but that's not what I look forward to in a Carti album) and it has alright replay value but has bloat. Overall it's nothing impressive but not necessarily horrible.
I like this old 21 but the lyrics lack a lot. The production is great
Listening to this blew my mind. As the first project from idk that i hear I didn't expect for it to be this good. The rapping is top tier, the prodction is awesome and he gets very personal in it. It expains his struggles with the justice system, love and fame. Also it's got great energy and seamless transtions between songs.
