THE grunge album. I was surprised how many songs on this album I already knew or had at least heard before; its presence cannot be understated. On top of all that, it's incredible. Zero skips in sight, great vocals, and kickass everything else. There are quaint and explosive moments, and they all accumulate into a front to back banger compilation. A lot of the concepts within the lyrics are actually pretty complex and interesting. Especially Polly yikes.

Black Sabbath - Technical Ecstasy

idk i almost fell sleep. Felt all over the place and kinda boring

Black Sabbath - Sabotage

It's alright. Ozzy's strained vocals sound really cool and angry, but the second half is totally hit or miss. It's decent; no strong feelings.

Pretty great all the songs are good. Some of them are exceptional. There are some synths and electronic elements, so it feels a little more modern I guess. Some of these tracks are definitely all timers I love the title track, Killing Yourself, and Spiral Architect. It is very solid, but I'm not sure if they're going up from here or not.

Michael Jackson - Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix

idgaf about the remixes; I'm just covering the new tracks. This 1000000% should have just been an EP. Even looking at it as an EP, it's not super impressive. If MJ had some more time to work on this it might have ben another Dangerous-esque project, but it was entirely made to promote the History Tour. I assume that was entirely a loser exec move. These new tracks are pretty ok other than mostly not having enough material to be as long as they are. They're all perfectly fine ... read more

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath Vol. 4

A little hit or miss compared to their prior two, but their heaviest tracks up to this point find themselves on this album. I love Cornucopia, Snowblind, and Under The Sun. Pretty good.

Fall Out Boy - From Under the Cork Tree

Good punky emo album. Lots of fun, catchy tracks. What on God's Earth happened the falloff is crazy.

JID - DiCaprio 2

JID's flows are as spectacular as always, but production and choruses are mostly repetitive and boring. A lot of the hits like Off Da Zoinkys, Off Deez, Workin Out, and Westbrook are amazing. The whole first half is back to back bangers, but I don't really like the second half. Hot Box is cool, Scrawberries is ok, but I think the rest are pretty boring. Mounted up is pretty not good. I feel like the album is lacking some of the polish and variety that makes JID so amazing, but ... read more

Quadeca - Vanisher, Horizon Scraper

I had high expectations going in and they were still exceeded. I had never listened to Quadeca before this, but I will now. I love the concept of a sailor going on a meaningless journey and all the correlations to a normal life. It is structured and really functions as a movie. The beginning is about setting the scene, the middle is about fleshing out the life of our character, and the end consists of a climactic encounter with a sea monster and the death of the main character. The way the ... read more

The Weeknd - Hurry Up Tomorrow
78

Great! Just way way way too long imo. Ironically most of the middle to end songs that feel much more for Abel are the ones I don't really like. They're pretty simple and kinda boring. There are some all timers on here. I did not know Future had that kind of singing voice.

JID - God Does Like Ugly
90

God DAAAMN this shit is hot. People will inevitably not like it as much as TFS, but that kind of comparison is just obnoxious. This album has a consistent theme of accepting your imperfections (or the ugly) and finding comfort in them. At the same time, there are instances of JID confronting racism in an aggressive, ironic voice. This album goes through all of the styles that he has already proven that he can do. He still has peak lyricism and excellent rapping performances. He even busts out ... read more

The Killers - Hot Fuss

A pretty solid angsty, pop rock debut. More catchy songs than I think most are willing to admit. There are a few sluggish tracks, but it's not a huge deal. The songs that are good are really good. Perfectly above average overall.

Pusha T - DAYTONA
80

I really do like it, but 1. it's way too short and 2. some songs aren't Ye's best work. Santeria, Infrared, IYKYK, and Hard Piano are generational songs. I even like What Would Meek Do because it's so fucking funny and the "Neighbors talking shit Push, how do you respond?" concept is fun. The two have surprisingly good chemistry on it. I never loved The Games We Play or Come Back Baby. They're good, but I don't go back to them. Very strong project ... read more

Metro Boomin - HEROES & VILLAINS

Very solid. One of the best song transitions ever (Metro Spider to I can't Save you). Some great tracks and great features.

Frank Ocean - Blonde

Makes me wanna hang myself it's great

JPEGMAFIA - All My Heroes Are Cornballs

Probably my least favorite of modern peggy, but it still manages to impress.

JPEGMAFIA - Veteran

Gracefully off-putting. I likey
