Denzel Curry - TA13OO
100

Name a mid song. You can't. So many different styles of rapping and singing. The spooky and spacey production is excellent. The three discs go from pleasant on the ears, to loud and braggadocious, to rage filled aggression. Every style is used fully. Nothing I could think of to be improved.

Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future
100

IT'S BEAUTIFUL. Perfect production. Perfect rapping. Introspective vocals. Curry has crafted his finest work yet, and one of he greatest albums I've ever heard. This will go down as one of the greats in the genre (if it doesn't it deserves to).

Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
95

Some of their best music is on here, but it's so short. Very all killer no filler, which I appreciate, but another song or two might not have hurt. But all the music is great. Into The Void, Solitude, and Children Of The Grave are some of the band's coolest songs. I also really like the interlude tracks. Probably not the band's greatest album, but it's another essential early Sabbath record.

Denzel Curry - KING OF THE MISCHIEVOUS SOUTH
84

Curry raps so well I'm jealous. Total confidence and amazing flow. The production is grimy and real, and the tracks are pretty good. Zeltron continues his reign of no misses.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
90

God forbid a guy make music that isn't talking about his trauma and miserable life. Can we not just have fun? And goddamn is it so much fun. Even the sadder cuts like Heart pt. 6 and Dodger Blue are fantastic. Obviously it's not as good as TPAB or something, but it's so good. I love cocky Kendrick.

Kendrick Lamar - untitled unmastered.

How this mfs B-sides better than most artists careers?

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
100

Shit turns boys to men. It's really special. Sometimes I can't stop bobbing my head, and sometimes I can't stop the tears from flowing. Truly gorgeous we need more people being vulnerable like this in the mainstream.

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
93

This is one of those albums. It just has it all, for better or worse. This somehow manages to have some of Kendrick's greatest hits and his greatest flops. Realistically, a flop to Kendrick could be someone else's biggest hit, but I've never enjoyed Loyalty at all. God is only ok. Other than those, these tracks are insane. The tracklist is a dichotomy between Kendrick's wicked and weakness sides. Some of Kendrick's most unique storytelling is on here, like Lust where he ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city

Maybe I don't love Real but idgaf it's a perfect concept and execution of said concept. This mfs a whole film.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

Nobody, let alone me, needs to tell you why this is a 100.

Ghost - Prequelle
92

Saxophone solo. Nuff said.
Pro Memoria is the only song here that didn't click with me. The rest brings nothing but bangers and beautiful ballads. Ghost has branched out from their typical hard rock sound from their early albums and have transitioned to a much more cinematic rock experience. Everything in Prequelle screams grandiose. Two instrumental tracks that manage to stay entertaining throughout their entire runtime. They still know how to rock as shown on Faith, Rats, and Dance ... read more

Ghost - Seven Inches of Satanic Panic
53

Ghost gets a little more indie/pop rocky I like it. "Pray for more in 2024" did not age well. It would be cool to see Ghost focus on this sound for an album. That being said, I don't super love The Future Is A Foreign Land and Kiss The Go-Goat is just alright to me. Thank god I don't really use TikTok or else Mary On A Cross would probably be unlistenable. It's a shame it got tiktokified, but it really bangs. Perfectly decent EP, but it shows some potential that Ghost ... read more

Ghost - Opus Eponymous
80

Very very spooky and evil I like it. Ghost will obviously blow it out of the water later, but it's a great debut. Takes me back to some old fun rock. It's pretty hard sometimes too. I like most of the tracks, but about half way through it, most of the songs kinda blur together. Couldn't even tell you what happens in Death Knell. That being said, Ritual, Elizabeth, Con Clavi Con Dio, Genesis, and Stand By Him might be in my rotation for a while. Simple, but very very effective.

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
100

My favorite album it's so good. Perfect blending of many artists from different corners of music, yet it's more consistent than most. Terribly scary themes that have unfortunately aged quite well. It's about humanity's destruction of Earth's environments and the majority that ignores or simply doesn't care. The songs explore these themes in many ways, like Superfast Jellyfish which is about advertising covering up these problems with fun jingles and bright lights. ... read more

Primer 55 - Introduction To Mayhem
58

Nu Metal fun. Pretty hard. Nothing too special, but it's done well.

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
83

Black Sabbath hasn't refined their sound at all, but this album still has some killer stuff. Not sure why the last track is 14 minutes, especially considering that it's basically 3 separate tracks with pauses in between. Could've just been split up; I think it would give the album more of a flow. Some of the tracks still have the signature dark Sabbath sound, but some of them are a little too upbeat sounding. I don't know it's weird. All the songs are good (some are ... read more

A$AP Rocky - AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP
90

Swaggy, badass, sometimes soothing and chill. Excellent songs that flow together much better than Long Live A$ap. If 2015 wasn't so stacked, this album would be talked about as much as it deserves.

Michael Jackson - HIStory: Past, Present and Future - Book I
89

Ignoring disc 1 since it's a hits compilation, this is a personal favorite of mine. I acknowledge it isn't his most refined or consistent album, but that's part of what makes me like it so much. Jackson has now fully transitioned from his original lighthearted groovy songs to a more conscious, mature style. There are nearly no moments of joy here; he's either pissed or depressed. Jackson speaks a lot about the accusations he was facing at the time, which have either aged ... read more

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
100

I could listen to this shit all day and never get bored. Every song brings something and it's all spectacular. I'm very upset that we lost the goat, but his legacy will keep him alive for centuries I'm sure of it. I hadn't listened to much Sabbath before this, and I knew most of the tracklist. Excellent all around.

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
88

Just because Tyler isn't crying about killing his boyfriend sucks or how he will never find true love or whatever doesn't mean that this record sucks, or even that it is just ok. IT'S FIREEEEEEEEE. It reminds me of an oldish dance record with just about 30 minutes of absolute slappers. Not a single miss on here. Tyler fans act like all his music has to be a lyrical revelation that tells the tale of his tragic life. The music he makes in this mindset is great, but who the hell ... read more
