whole lotta red? more like whole lotta mid đšđšđš
Being serious though, I don’t think I’d give a Carti song anything above an 8/10, so I guess it’s not my thing. The vocals are annoying and the beat feels relatively weak, especially for trap. The features are fine but that’s one of the only things I like from this album.

This album just feels so comforting, I could even describe Elliot’s voice as fuzzy and soft in certain tracks like “Alameda”, “Angeles”, and “Say Yes”. This along with the simple instrumentals make up for a great album, and I would definitely recommend it.
“Say Yes” is probably my favorite off of the album, I love the vocal performance and the lyrics are some of the best in the singer songwriter genre.

CLASSIC REVIEW #3! (WAAYY longer than most of my reviews since this is one of my favorite albums!!)
Perhaps it’s not an all-time classic, but it definitely changed a lot on its respective genre. Released on September 14th, 2004, Arcade Fire released their debut album, “Funeral”. This album was (and still is) highly praised by critics for practically revolutionizing and inspiring the whole indie sound for years to come. And now, for my actual review…

I’ll be honest, my first listen to this album was really rough, most tracks didn’t stick out enough, and I just found them to be boring. During my relisten, I was completely shocked; this thing is amazing, ESPECIALLY the last 2 tracks.
“I Appear Missing” might genuinely be one of the best songs I’ve ever heard, and the vocals near the end of it are beautiful.
HIGHLIGHTS: I Sat By the Ocean, I Appear Missing, …Like Clockwork
I’d just like to say that these tracks are different from the actual versions off of Emergency & I, which includes “Since You Died”, a vinyl exclusive track.
The changes that both tracks have just feels like a drawback, as these pre-Emergency & I versions feel more like a weird combination of slacker rock and post hardcore.
It’s really a shame, since “What Do You Want Me To Say?” is probably my favorite song at the moment, and this version ... read more
Released on May 20th, 2016, Car Seat Headrest’s “Teens Of Denial” was the album that really made me get into CSH as a whole. Hell, I used to describe it as another version of Twin Fantasy, despite that making NO sense.
Anyways, this record is definitely special to me, as I found it at a time when my angst was at an all time high. The lyrical themes here are similar to what I was feeling, and it really made me feel at home (I’d say that’s what most of CSH sounds ... read more
Classic review #2!
Released on September 12, 1975, Wish You Were Here is what many people consider to be Floyd’s masterpiece. It’s most widely known for being a tribute to Syd Barrett, who had to leave the band due to drug abuse during the recording process of “The Dark Side of the Moon”, but it’s also a critique on the music industry showing how displeased they were at the time.
It’s pretty obvious that this is an extremely influential record, due to it ... read more

200th review! Since this is a relatively big milestone for me, I wanted to review a classic album :)
"Blood on the Tracks" is an album by Bob Dylan, released in 1975. I’d consider it to be his best record, due to the emotion that’s shown throughout the album and the masterful storytelling. It has a rather cold and emotional tone, with themes of love, anger, and betrayal (ESPECIALLY shown in tracks such as Simple Twist of Fate and Idiot Wind).
The lyricism shown in this ... read more
Very comforting, and possibly Miller’s best album.
“Swimming” paints a more mature and reflective picture of Miller’s state of mind. In its lyrics, this record deals with themes of self-love and mental health, showing his recent struggles. Themes like these along with the very soulful production makes this a very pleasing listen, and I’m all for it.

This is a part of an album swap with @Hyphenetic, so expect more reviews like this soon!
Anyways, this is a relatively popular underground project made by Denzel Curry. It was made quite recently, which made me have relatively low standards since I don’t really like post-2020 music. To put it lightly, my expectations weren’t that high, but this album was great.
The beat is really well done and I personally think it peaks on the first two tracks. The rest of this project fell a bit ... read more
Rewriting my review for now since this is an album that means a lot to me, so don’t be surprised if this review is relatively long compared to other reviews :)
I can’t believe this is still called the gay furry album…
So, Twin Fantasy is an album about young love and codependency. It paints this very vivid picture of the story it’s trying to convey with its lyrics, especially in tracks such as Beach Life-In-Death, Bodys, High to Death, and Famous Prophets (Stars). ... read more
