Wait, this exists?
Yeah, it’s definitely overlooked amongst the Pink Floyd fandom, but it’s genuinely a pleasant listen. I liked the experience of it, and some songs here are actually really well produced for its time.
Highlights: Obscured By Clouds, Wot’s… Uh the Deal?, Childhood’s End
Least favorite: Absolutely Curtains
It’s great; but I feel like it’s a bit cheesy at times, might just be me though. I mean, overall, it’s a nice experience, but I don’t see myself coming back to these songs oftenly.
Highlights: Barely Legal, Someday, Last Nite
Least favorite: New York City Cops
Finally decided to get into more “underground” indie. I think this was a good start, as slacker rock is also something i like. For the album itself, it’s good and I like its vibe, both the opening and the closer of the album are well-made, and it’s overall just a nice experience.
Highlights: What Do You Want, Haunts, Everything Is Scary
It sounds amazing, but I do think that some tracks are WAY weaker than other ones in terms of sound. Aside from that, it’s great.
Highlights: Cherry-Coloured Funk, Heaven or Las Vegas, Frou-Frou Foxes In Midsummer Fires
100TH REVIEW!! :D
Oh well, this is a pretty long album, isn’t it? It does feel like it drags on for a bit too long, but the highlights are definitely some of Will’s best. It’s one of my favorite CSH albums for sure, and most of these tracks are really unique in their own different way.
Tracks such as Boxing Day and The Gun Song are genuinely some of my favorite songs of all time, and other tracks such as We Can’t Afford, Broken Birds, and Plane Crash Blues have amazing ... read more
Looking at the genres this EP has, I thought that I was going to enjoy it a bit more, but oh well…
It’s very relaxing, and I definitely did like the noise that tracks like “Good Morning Texts” and “Alive, Always” had. Overall, I liked it, and I can’t forget to mention; rest in peace Kai, we’ll miss you :)
Favorite tracks: Good Morning Texts, Trapsdoors That Open, Alive, Always
Least favorite: N/A
Today is the 20 year anniversary of this album, I’d just like to mention that
Highlights: Accordion, Meat Grinder, Figaro, Fancy Clown, All Caps
I have no words… no thoughts… (please laugh)
Highlights: No Words / No Thoughts, You Fucking People Make Me Sick, Eden Prison
It’s not bad by any means, but I wouldn’t listen to most of these songs in my free time either.
Highlights: Danger
It isn’t that bad, but it also lacks a lot of things overall. Nothing special, but it doesn’t do much wrong too.
Highlights: Your Possible Pasts, The Gunner’s Dream, The Final Cut
uh.. it’s okay i guess?
There definitely is some sort of nostalgia factor, but that doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t very good imo.
Would be a 100 if it weren’t for tracks 8-10 being much weaker than the rest, also, happy 9 year anniversary :D
Favorites: Wesley’s Theory, King Kunta, These Walls, Alright, How Much a Dollar Cost, The Blacker the Berry, Mortal Man
Least favorite: For Sale? (Interlude), Hood Politics
what did i just listen to and what is that album cover
it’s silly so here’s an extra 60 points
It’s nice to see reworked versions of old CSH songs. Obviously, it’s not their best compilation album (Nervous Young Man does it much better in my opinion) but it’s still good enough for me to like it.
Highlights: Something Soon, Times to Die, Maud Gone, Oh! Starving
what did i just listen to and why is it so good
