The expanded version of F♯ A♯ ∞ is surprisingly better than the first version, and I personally like it as much as Lift Your Skinny Fists. It has this very unique post-apocalyptic feeling to it and it sounds great.
I don’t have much problems with it, but I do feel like some time is wasted during Providence. Overall, this is an amazing work of art and I love it.
Highlights: Every song
Although I personally don’t like metal that much, Toxicity still ends up being a great album, maybe even one of my favorites. I don’t have much to say, the lyrics are really well written and the production itself is amazing.
Highlights: Deer Dance, Chop Suey!, ATWA, Science, Toxicity, Psycho, Aerials
Great album, but I find it hard to listen to the whole thing completely without getting a bit bored. Some songs alone are amazing though.
Highlights: Five Years, Soul Love, Moonage Dream, Starman, Ziggy Stardust, Rock 'N' Roll Suicide
I don’t think it’s that bad, but Hollywood might genuinely be the worst CSH song ever. Overall, it’s alright, but it could definitely improve in some aspects.
It’s alright, but it felt a bit extensive even though it’s a 14 minute record. It’s not bad, but also not special enough for it to be memorable.
EDIT: I do see the appeal to it now :)
I don’t see the appeal to it completely, but it definitely sounds peculiar in some way; I like that.
The first time I decided to sit through this record, I found it hard to listen to. Something about it seemed off & uncanny, but it washed off after a couple of listens. This seems like the type of record that just gets better after every listen, and I’m all for it.
I mean.. it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever heard, but the antisemitism that’s in the lyrics just gets really in your face and it really pisses me off.
Aside from that, there’s nothing much to say, this is a really mediocre record.
Just… wow
I wasn’t too keen to listen to this record mostly because it’s a genre I’m not into, so saying it blew my expectations would be a bit of an understatement. Something about this makes it so well written, the lyrics are in some songs (Closer, Big Man with a Gun, and Reptile) are disgusting but in a good way, it’s perfect in some sense.
This record is quite literally a downward spiral; you can see how the “protagonist” of this record slowly ... read more
this is radiohead’s best song, it’s so eerie yet comforting, and the lyrics just make it so much better
its peaks are amazing (i wonder which song i’m talking about), but it’s inconsistent for most of the album
damn this is depressing
unknown pleasures starts off really nicely but then slowly devolves into really existential stuff; it’s really sad but i love it
really weird but the energy put into the tracks makes it sound better than what it actually is, it’s fine i suppose??
i forgot to review this a while ago, so here i am
the glowing man was the only album on the trilogy with made me confused on my first listen; i didn’t quite like it, and some songs felt a little bit too long
after a few good listens, it finally got me: this is a great project, and i love it
cloud of unknowing and the glowing man are all amazing tracks
not quite as good as to be kind, but it’s nearly there
peak live album i fear
i’m surprised feel happiness & helpless child are ranked as 97 on the track list, they’re way better than that
