It’s really unfortunate to see Kanye’s downfall as both an artist and as a person happen this quickly, especially since he’s probably one of my favorite artists of all time. I genuinely hope he gets better someday, but oh well…

I’d like to clarify that before listening to this album, I had heard a couple of Deftones songs, so this isn’t really my first “experience” with the band. The few songs I had listened to before White Pony were really good, so I was hoping I’d enjoy this album much more than I did—but oh well…

Is this what I expected from a Radiohead live album? Not quite—but I’d be lying if I said these tracks were worse than the originals.

I Might Be Wrong features some of Radiohead’s best songs from both Amnesiac and Kid A, so it was clear from the start that this would be a great live album. ‘Dummy’ is Portishead’s debut album, and it practically revolutionized the trip hop genre as a whole (Albeit groups such as Massive Attack were also present, I think Dummy had more of an impact overall.). I don’t think Sky Hundred is album of the year, but it’s really sad to see the user score drop after fantano gave it a 6/10…

This album is one of the most relaxing listens I’ve ever had, and that’s saying something! It’s incredibly lively, would totally recommend for anyone trying to get into ambient music.

Blackstar is one of those albums that I’ve always wanted to revisit, but never found the right time for such a listen. Now, at the time of writing (multiple days ago…), I finally gave it the relisten it deserved, and I have to admit, it’s been a while since I’ve felt this disturbed by an album.

Is this album of the year? Perhaps, but it’s DEFINITELY overrated in some way. Maybe it’s just me disliking some of the tracks in the middle, making this 40 minute album feel bloated more than anything, but I really expected to give this a score over 90. Now, why did I give this an 85? (Which, mind you, is still a great score.)
