This may be art rock's crowning masterpiece.

An unflinching, out of control spiral toward the center of paternal identity, Britain's stiff upper lip, and the idiocy of war, The Final Cut fulfills the promise of The Wall's most poignant moments, gutting sons, soldiers, and the unknowing inheritors of their sacrifices eight ways from Sunday.

At a mere thirteen tracks on one LP, it’s much more compact and digestible, and Waters keeps the narrative focused, the stakes high, and the lyrics often disarmingly direct.

Most of the songs in this collection are entirely written and preformed by Roger Waters, many of which were meant to appear on "The Wall" but left out. This doesn't necessarily mean that these songs are bad though, in fact there are a few songs here which I absolutely ... read more

The Post War Dream - 9/10 - amazing intro, absolutely love that beautiful ending part. this is seriously underrated

Your Possible Pasts - 8.5/10 - the quiet parts are cool, the choruses are absolutely sick. i also like the addition of the loud snares randomly during the quiet parts. lovely guitar solo too

One of the Few - 7.5/10 - i kinda like how creepy this is, quite interesting

When the Tigers Broke Free (reissue bonus track, yes ... read more
