Maruja - Pain to Power
83

Rage Against The Machine + BCNR = Maruja

The Beatles - Help!
72

A lot of the same repeating ideas، and it does get boring at some point, but yesterday.

I wouldn't say it's the best Beatles album, but that very different Beatally song from McCartney is in my opinion the best song so far in their discography.

I will definitely in the future revisit these five albums before their big masive run of classics, but for now i think that my least favourite

Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning
90

One of the most heartwrenching albums i've heard, im so happy i found it, even though no clue from whete exactly.

People who are learning song writing, this is hands down one of the best albums on lyrics wise.

Daniel Johnston - 1990
NR

This is the kind of album you just cannot rate.

This is the most weird, haunting and humanely real album i have ever heard. This is my first Daniel Johnston project i've heard and listen to it, i mean really LISTEN to it, some of these songs just struck a chord in you and it completely consumes you with it's very hard to explain personality.

This is honestly one of a kind, there some pretty ugly songs and some that makes you look at the sunset for hours. You can't really find ... read more

The Beatles - With The Beatles
77

Most of the songs are very simple, but its that young spirit and talent that The Beatles bring that makes this album so colourful.

Interpol - Interpol
72

I mean, what the hell.

It's definitely not as ambitious or rememberable, as their last three projects, but bro this is their only album so far that actually ends strongly.

It is a consistent album, averagely consistent, but consistent. It is a lot more focused on that same atmosphere that they bring with every record, which
Is good but it's also very one dimensional, and i can understand why people can get bored of it.

Though it's funny to me how here pretty much flipped ... read more

The Beatles - Please Please Me
76

Yes this is very Beatally.

It does show great the potential of the band with their debut, and the expecting success that will follow them afterwards, with some great tracks and covers like Anna (Go to him), Please Please Me and of course Twist and Shout.

But it is extremely Beatally, you will expect exactly what people say about The Beatles, doesn't really impress lyrically in any way, and it is very one dimensional with that "Lovey Dovey" theme that goes along in most of the ... read more

Interpol - Our Love to Admire
82

They do not disappoint to bring that shivering atmosphere, with their 3rd album aswell.

Interpol, has been for me the most listend band for the past month, and it's because of that beautiful and unresolved atmosphere that they bring, with Paul Banks unique voice and these classic early 2000s guitar sound, that i just cant get enough of.

The only weird thing with that band, that kinda annoys me, is how every album of theirs so far, has had a disappointing finish. It's like they had ... read more

The Strokes - Comedown Machine
88

In my opinion this is one of their most consistent records out there.

That sweet and also raw strokes sounds, predicts The New Abnormal in a very welcoming way.
It is an album that it's quite difficult to pin point the highlights of it, though in the top of my head of course
it first pops: "Welcome to Japan", "80s Comedown Machine" and "Call it fate, Call it Karma".
Though it's weird with sucha brilliant album, i cannot name most of the songs, not like ... read more

Car Seat Headrest - Teen of Denial: Joe's Story
NR

Surely i can't be the only one who thinks Toledo sounds soooooo muchh like Julian Casablancas on Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales. For a second i honestly thought that Julian was singing it.

The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth
65

The first 4 tracks are great, but i can't physically get through the whole album, just... ouch.

The Jungle Giants - Quiet Ferocity
77

The song are a vibe and well made, but...
It really pisses me off how the album it's structured.

You can't start with the two best songs of the album and then everything forward to be downhill, it's not like the other songs are bad(though there is some drags), but you just can't set the expectations that high with "On Your Way Down" and "Feel The Way I Do", and not to met the quality afterwards.

The album would've been so much better, if for ... read more

The Backseat Lovers - When We Were Friends
89

What can i say? Indie at it's best.

Bob Dylan - The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
86

It's a very beautiful and perfect for it's simplicity, which makes it very down to earth and human, but not gonna lie, it gets quite repetitive and boring at the ending tracks.

Probably i'll say that it could be shorter and it would still be the same quality, or perhaps even better.

Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It in People
89

This album makes me want to drink piss

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There
100

I remember listening to that album like 3 times and hating it completely, but then one sunny morning in the middle of may..

I decided to not sleep that night, doing some stuff in home and chilling, then i suddenly saw that it wasn't dark anymore and the whether was just perfect, so i decided to take a walk with that album in my ears.

And oh my god.. buttons that i didn't even know that i had inside, just clicked simultaneously and it absolutely destroyed me. Everyone knows how you ... read more

Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy (Face to Face)

It interesting how ,every album that has influenced me in a big way, has that very bright memory which i can perfectly remember the exact place, time and everything that's was happening around me.

You know when something hits you, It Hits You!
And Twin Fantasy is the perfect example.

I can't really say something that hasn't been said before about this album.
Im not a furry nor gey, but this masterpiece is in my heart and soul as much as the next person, and it's one of ... read more

tommy oeffling - the subtle art of jaywalking

I love this kind of small projects.
In a way its very weirdly inspiring, to make you want to create something like that yourself

McCafferty - The House With No Doorbell
68

I do really like his vocals and overall the sound of this album, but the lyrics.. meh.

It'ssssss way too "im sad bleh bleh bleh, im sad", and its very cheap. I know that there is some back story on abuse of drugs etc(from what i read from other people that have reviewed it), but still i wished the lyrics were more clever and thoughtful.
