Ari Lennox’s first album not with Dreamville proves to have her previous charm and vocal range, but with this being 50 minutes, it could be so much better if it wasn’t this long. Like I can’t lie but I got bored by the end of this
🔥 400TH REVIEW ON ALBUMOFTHEYEAR 🔥
I’m kinda ashamed to say that I fuck with this.
CHILL IT’S VIBEY IT’S FUN IT’S QUIRKY AND I LIKE IT A BIT OK DAMN CALM DOWN
Short and snappy songs, smooth transitions all make for a concise and engaging mixtape from IDK.
Wow this rough and experimental sound is quite cool even more excited for the album now
A collaboration that I was certainly not expecting but also am I bit torn about. On one hand I like the message, and the atmosphere the song creates, but also at the start especially some of the vocals were not needed.
By no means do I think it’s as good as their previous collaboration together, “STILL IN THE PAINT”, but this lead single to Strictly 4 The Scythe proves that they are an unmatched trio, with every song turning into an absolute BANGER ‼️🔥💥
Once I heard Tek It I just had to check this album out, and… I mean it’s alright. It’s fine, Tek It was definetely the stand-out (I like sped-up version more though imma be honest) and Empty Tricks and Reconsider were also very good too. I feel like this project went a bit too safe, especially when I know they can go wilder and better. I’m a bit on the fence about this one right now
One of the best songs that he’s released. I can at least listen to it without curling into a ball in cringe and painful awkwardness.
This a-little-bit-cliché and a-little-bit-awesome album has some extremely high and enjoyable moments like make you mine, which in my opinion is a dance anthem, and then other low level more stereotypical girl pop songs. I didn’t mind it but I didn’t quite have much to take out of it either. It’s honestly fine and good, and I think Madison Beer and the album feels like it’s ok with being that, predictable, fine, pop oriented mass-appealing music.
Banger I don’t care nuh uh uh uh nuh uh huh huh uh nuh 🤷
THE TIME IS HERE. DON’T BE DUMB.
I was kind of underwhelmed. It’s giving the kind of energy of a “had the album complete but then scrapped at and then started again” kinda vibe. I wish the song with Metro Boomin going like “dressed like John Gotti in court your honour” was on it. That was a banger. I am in the boat of people who are disappointed that Rihanna and Carti wasn’t on the album. And like why did Digital Nas post on X talking about Frank Ocean ... read more
Still not fully convinced with this new era but I’m liking the sound more and more from each single that she puts out
This is solid, a little bit safe, but still good Laroi at its finest. Nothing magnificent, what you would expect I have to say, but still at that it is a concise, heartfelt and emotion packed album to kickstart the year
Great song, with Wesley Joseph bringing something different and unique to the table with this song. Teaming up with Danny Brown, a trendsetter who matches perfectly with Joseph, making a fresh sound and song that I will be coming back to for sure
Lorde's 2017 sophomore effort, Melodrama, is an ambitious transformation of heartbreak into high-art pop, though it occasionally falters under its own sonic weight. While the record is anchored by the raw, piano-led vulnerability and the explosive energy of "Green Light,". I find that some production doesn’t make the best soundscape, and some parts of songs could have added other elements that would have gave it that even better edge. The album succeeds as a vivid, sweaty ... read more
