Im honestly speechless at how good and cohesive this is. Not a single miss. It might be aoty
Fav songs: All of the singles + Innuendo
A masterclass in atmosphere-building. I’ll never forget my first listen back in 2020, felt magical to say the least. Fav song here has to be liara.
What Addison Rae pulls off on her debut is actually pretty impressive given that the record itself is solid but not groundbreaking : a really well executed rebrand. And I say “rebrand” loosely because I genuinely believe shes always had a very particular creative vision (i still remember when her 2020 Spotify Wrapped leaked and it showed she was listening to Arca lol). Even if her tiktok comments or the replies under clips of her performing are full of people making fun of her, the ... read more
this song is the blueprint for sad pop songs if you think about it. everything is indeed embarrassing
Went into this expecting some Lana Del Rey type slop, but I actually ended up pretty intrigued by Nessas artistic vision. There are some really good songs here, like the amazing ballad Pins and Needles and Pornstar. Its definitely messy but I think thats kind of the point. Also, the cover is pretty badass.
This is probably his only good-decent project. In todays music landscape its honestly hard to make a pop-rock album that doesn’t come off as corny, but Oliver somehow manages to stay on the right side of that line most of the time… even if he occasionally crosses it
Oklous debut album is honestly one of the best listening experiences Ive ever had. Its a masterclass in building atmosphere, her angelic voice paired with those unique, distinctive synths makes it feel like youre literally in heaven. Ive never heard an alt-pop album that avoids drums, which makes it feel really innovative. The feature list is also rlly cool, with people like Bladee and underscores. There are barely any weak moments on here. Its just SOO good
Truly an insult to music. Idc how many amazing electropop tracks she drops with Frost Children, I will never forget this monstrosity made in collaboration with Dr. Luke. Maybe Republic Records actually had a point
her being a sociology major makes her 10 times more evil than she already was
This song evokes such a specific feeling in me. Its weirdly nostalgic cuz it takes me back to a saturday night in 2019 when I was playing lego batman by myself. I remember playing this song nonstop back then, and finding it again now feels great. Even though most of Blackbears discog is pretty much slop, this track has to be one of my fav songs of all time lol sorry
With only 3 official albums, I truly believe Rochelle has already cemented herself as one of the best voices in alt R&B. Play With the Changes, her second album, is one of my favorite records of all time, so my expectations for this project were EXTREMELY high, yet it still managed to deliver. Across 17 tracks, she moves effortlessly through dance, house, R&B, DnB and UK garage, blending these styles in a way that doesnt feel overwhelming at all.
In recent years, especially after ... read more
whats up with trans people and them making the best fucking music ive ever heard in my entire life.
