"I met Kanye West, I'm never going to fail" ahh album
Total embarrassment. I knew this one would be bad from the moment I saw this fuck ass cover, but I had no idea. In a way the cover art feels prophetic, as the music on "EXPERIMENTAL RAP" is just as corny, pathetic, and embarrassing as that front cover. There's absolutely nothing special about this. Peggy's production is the worst it's ever been, I hate this faux epic sound that half these songs try to ... read more

Dude, what the fuck was I smoking? Not only is this an undeniable classic with two of MJ's biggest hits right at the front, both of which are immaculate tracks that are essentially flawless, but this is one of the most pristinely recorded and produced albums of all time. The whole thing feels so of its time but in the absolute best way possible. The instrumentals are so, so good and the whole record is led by one of the best voices to ever be put to tape. Absolutely outstanding ... read more
Can’t believe in 5 years time I’ll be paying money to see Kanye West’s daughter perform live but holy shit this is hard as fuck
Pretty nice stuff. In many ways feels like baby’s first attempt at making “experimental” music, but in other ways, this is a very effectively communicated concept record on mental health, loneliness, and learning to coexist with your past, present, and future selves. For as much as shteppi’s oft on the nose lyricism gets on my nerves, for personal reasons, “stephanie.” hit me like a goddamn truck, and that closing track is really sweet too. I remain confident ... read more

Although I would argue that I'm possibly less enthusiastic about it as many others seem to be, it's still hard to deny that "Siamese Dream" is a pretty goddamn excellent record. Lyrically, I think this is among the better showings I've yet to find on a 90's alt rock record. There are recurring motifs that pop up throughout that give these tracks a sort of conceptual feel that elevates this from feeling like merely just a collection of great rock ... read more
This song I think is probably unironically in my top 20 favorite songs ever made. I'm consistently astonished by how fucking perfect this song is. It defies explanation how any song, let alone a pop song, could be this fucking unequivocally spectacular and flawless in every way. Shit, this song in general defies explanation. How do you engineer an instrumental this perfect? With vocals this beautiful? Write lyrics this heartwarming? How could a song written primarily in a language I'm ... read more
really glad that everypony seems happy with this song, i've heard most of the tape atp through patreon and can confirm it's very very good. this sound has grown a bit stale for me by this point, and i think the project as a whole suffers from being a bit too eager to very obviously take from the jane remover revengeseekerz sound, but it'll be a good time for most if the reception of this song is this positive.
this is what the average 14 year old edgy friendless loser on this site will try to convince you sewerslvt is like
Mitski is the only artist that can so consistently drop music that makes me fear for her life
"All good souls lost may they rest in peace."
Few artists seem to command the same level of reverence and adoration that Nujabes does. He's an artist that, whenever brought up in conversation, everyone who's encountered his art in any form seems to have nothing but the utmost praise for him and his contributions to music. He's arguably the most universally adored hip-hop producer since J Dilla, and, admittedly, I never really understood why. To me, his music was good, ... read more
So frustrating because on paper there are so many songs here that I should love, but the production, and at times even the vocals, severely weigh the project as a whole down. Many of the songs here with cool riffs or interesting passages are just ruined by the mixing on a lot of these songs, and that mixed with the growly vocal performances and often overdone blast beats renders this as an album that was more unpleasant to listen to than anything. Simply put, and I mean this in the least ... read more
Okay, I'm in love. Usually plunderphonics records fall short for me due to the tracks feeling too short or incomplete to really grab me, leaving it feeling impossible to latch onto anything. But here, each sample is organized and put together in such a way that makes these tracks stand on their own as interesting songs, and I had a genuinely great time listening to this. I'm officially hopping aboard the samlrc hype train
being alive during a time when vylet pony is still actively making music is a precious gift to me
