Debut single of a band with a few of my buddies in it, and I think they did a p damn good job!
this honestly just gives me a lot of faith that lana just understand how musics supposed to sound, it works in a really intuitive way, in a sound that often fails to work, and she used quavos voice so well which he admittidely has an odd style for a song like this. But it works so well.
Not to not give any credit to quavo, he sounds so fing cool here
okay polo g is REALLY talented, this sounds GREAT, but ill be honest? i get the importance of this subject matter im kinda tired if it from polo, bloody canvas was a perfect encapsulation of the way the "hood life" can cause problems and lead to tragedy. this doesnt intrigue me nearly as much, and this writing style was ALL over hpod poet
few things
-weezy has the best verse and that opening line from him is so tough
-kanyes verse sucks ass, dont try to defend it
-eminems verse is prettyyy damn baller
-drakes here and he does what he needs to, p good hook also
Holy shit WHAT? what?
I legitimately didnt know this existed, and it some of futures best work post 2017.
Ive never had an album that so perfectly encapsulated "emptiness" in a genuinely powerful way, but this project actually really really connected with me. Futures actually so painfully open here i cant believe it.
xanax damage is in contention for my favorite future song genuinely~ Its super short, but those vocals are harrowing, it really really touched my heart.

1999 is like my favorite album, so you know damn well I love steelo.
Amerikkkan Corruption is a really special tape, it has its flaws but its made up for in pure passion. It kinda reminds me of that hunger that J. Cold exhibited on friday night lights. I mean just generally, steez exhibited all the best traits of cole to an even higher degree than cole ever has, and he ALWAYS feels like he has a purpose which is really captivating.
Free the robots is one of the greatest songs ever made.
Americana as a whole album is super divisive as it kinda makes a mockery of itself, and thats part of the appeal, but in that album, their is one classic song that I think everyone can agree, is pretty damn awesome.
The Kids aren't alright doesnt play any jokes, it just a straight rock track, with one kf the most powerful and just driving instrumentals, and the lyrics perfectly encapsulate that punk ethos
da drought 3 and me have a long history ill explain some day when i get passionakte, but ill just say i still remember my first listen i didnt check the tracklist, when i heard the if i ruled the beat i damn near fainted and when the song finished and I realizez he made a song on par with prime Nas and lauryn hill with a changing hook and some of the most fire punchlines ever i nearly fainted all over again
Shes a 10 but shes a falling in reverse fan and im an aoty user...
if you fw reincarnated off the new Kendrick album check out angel, it clearly inspired kendrick with the writing between dmx and god, and in general dmx was a really underrated introspective writer that song is really powerful.
Dude this as an album oper FUCK. The moment the first instrument came I knew this was gonna be one of the greatest songs id ever heard
This song is kinda messy within the context of the album because of kodaks inclusion, but as a single fuck man this is prolly a top 5 song on the project Kodak literally outrapped kendrick friggin lamar and its so tough
Dude love the album, but like i just need to rant about one song
Hot wind blows is tylers best song every and it fucking rocks. The imagery that beat sets up is MAGICAL dude, i imagine tyler just flew in off some boujee hot air balloon and boarded his yacht looking cool as fuck.
And the song just keeps building that imagery. THAT FUCKING WHISTLE DUDE, and just the flute like fucking end me thats awesome.
Then you hear that lighter flick and it kicks into a whole new gear. Ive always thought ... read more
Jacks like cordae or logic in that hes really lacking his own identity in his music, but like at least cordae and logic have lyrical identity that makes them a little interesting, jack has nothing
Genuinely my favorite tribe song by a mile that beat is so hot dudee
Ignoring idlewild this is kinda the last "true" outkast track with both if them on it, and like, one hell of a way to go out. For as perfect of a song this is, what really makes it is that music video, it tells SUCH a vivid and exciting story dude one of my favorite videos oat. The song itself is ICONIC dude it just so good.
I dont know how to describe this exaclty, but ill try. Cordae is kinda like logic to me where like, they both have pretty good ears for production, and pretty interesting pens, but like they just feel like so nothing? Theirs clearly a talent but like their voice doesnt bring out any emotion in me, and i think generally their music just feels like someone else could have made it?
Like id say cordaes a comparable lyricists to like tyler, maybe cordaes even better, but tyler has this amazing ... read more
