JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - SCARING THE HOES: DLC PACK
71

ALBUM 85 OF 183.

its not very often that i agree when outtakes arent included on the album, but here i agree. they are a drop off in quality from STH, but COME THE FUCK ON. BE REAL RIGHT HERE AND TELL ME THIS IS BAD. ITS STILL FUCKING PEGGY AND DANNY.

favorite tracks: HERMANOS, NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

Tally Hall - Good & Evil
70

ALBUM 84 OF 183.

they really made THE 7/10 album.
every song in this that isnt a 7/10 is either a 6/10 (due to bad writing both times) or an 8/10 (due to great performances both times). this is unusual. Still good but it is a 70/100 from me boss

favorite tracks: Turn The Lights Off (7), & (8), Fate of the Stars (8), A Lady (7)

vivivivivi - IN MY HEAD
78

ALBUM 83 OF 183.

yeah its done really well and stuff but i Do not intend on revisting this. very cool concept album though

favorite tracks: Not applicable as listening to these without context is nowhere near as good but credits song for my death is really nice

21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin - Without Warning
64

ALBUM 82 OF 183.

new hot take: 21 savage is overrated

everytime i listen to more 21 i like it less and less. still, offset and metro carry their weight as usual and it ends up being a fine project. i need to take a break from listening to 21.

favorite tracks: Rap Saved Me, My Choppa Hate N***s (only good 21 on the whole project), Nightmare, Ric Flair Drip

Baby Keem - The Melodic Blue
73

ALBUM 81 OF 183.

Fully cooked meal with two servings of dessert but the entree has no sides

like This is good and theres just like a LOT of music here so its hard to analyze but through all of this there always feels like something missing. As good as every song is only a few of them avoid being empty and generally devoid of replayability or even just some sort of interesting element. still, i liked this and there's a lot to get out of it, and i think baby keem's NEXT album will probably be ... read more

Deer Leap / The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die - Are Here to Help You
85

ALBUM 80 OF 183.

had no clue this existed till my gf showed it to me after i showed her whenever if ever. ty haley (@hedgygh)

the lead singer of TWIABP does what he always does and every performance of his is very hit or miss. Still, when it hits, oh boy does it hit. the deer leap parts are a little less important to the overall record, but the small contrasts in the two bands’ styles adds a lot of depth to the record and makes me love it even more. also i love the album cover

ALBUM 79 OF 183.

who up strokin they shit rn im just strokin my shit rn strokin it n shit rn

this is some truly DELIGHTFUL indie rock from front to back, with some seemingly effortless riffs and beautiful moments in every song. however, the clear best songs outshine the rest, with some of the others having little to no replay value, despite their value first listen.

favorite tracks: The Adults Are Talking (masterpiece), Selfless, At The Door, Ode To The Mets (i’m a mets fan, also a ... read more

Lil Uzi Vert - Pink Tape
66

ALBUM 78 OF 183.

Inconsistency is a powerful drug

cut the duds off this and Pink Tape truly becomes one of rhe best projects in recent memory, probably becoming the best rap record of the year. but for every amazing song, theres one and a half mid ones. still though, the good songs are great additions to his catalogue and i love the guitars. CS is the funniest shit (in a bad way)

redveil - learn 2 swim

ALBUM 77 OF 183.

Hell yes redveil. not much to say that hasnt already been said but this is one of the most consistently great rap albums out there right now. give it a listen

favorite tracks: diving board, pg baby, new info, shoulder, sky, morphine (da ways), automatic, working on it

Tame Impala - Currents
90

ALBUM 76 OF 183.

it’s IMPALAble how obssed I am with such a unTAME album CURRENTly. Shit is insane

horrible puns aside this is some great psych rock from One guy. the song writing here is amazing, and the lyrics are really pleasant throughout aswell. enjoyed!

favorite tracks: everything but Gossip, Disciples and Reality in Motion

Kendrick Lamar - untitled unmastered.

ALBUM 75 OF 183.

genuinely a wonderful piece of music from Kendrick LAmar here today. theres really not much to say due to the lack of cohesion and themes but a lot of these were just incredible. if this is his scraps are better than anything i'll ever make

favorite tracks: 2, 5, 6, 8

The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die - Whenever, If Ever
93

ALBUM 74 OF 183.

this album was genuinely delightful from front to back. such an incredible and powerful listen. my first thought when listening was simply “Its like black country new road yet less polished” (message i actually sent to a friend), yet there is beauty in it’s roughness. 3 or 4 of the songs were weak, but this album instantly began to resonate in my heart through only the second listen. wonderful

Tyler, The Creator - Cherry Bomb
58

ALBUM 73 OF 183.

all time worst production from tyler here. this shit way too noisy at times and it PISSES ME OFF as too much of this is really good and shows insane talent. entire first half is so devoid of like good Anything. love the second half though

favorite tracks: FIND YOUR WINGS, FUCKING YOUNG / PERFECT, SMUCKERS, OKAGA, CA

Metro Boomin - METRO BOOMIN PRESENTS SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE (SOUNDTRACK FROM AND INSPIRED BY THE MOTION PICTURE)
73

ALBUM 72 OF 183.

it’s a mixed bag but the good parts stand out as skme great trap music. obviously not as good as Heroes & Villains, and probably not as good as the first soundtrack, but it’s a welcome direction to take the soundtracks and i love how they chose metro for this. also I LOVE COI LERAY

favorite tracks: Annihilate, Am I Dreaming, All The Way Live, Silk & Cologne, Self Love, Home, Givin’ Up, Nas Morales

OutKast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
NR

ALBUM 71 OF 183.

im pushing this review out cause i need to get through my backlog, but i need to spend a lot more indepth time to truly understand what the hell is going on here

Playboi Carti - Whole Lotta Red
59

ALBUM 70 OF 183.

i think im getting bored of carti as this album reminded me of a yeat album in how its high energy yet boring as hell. this album did not really click with me, even though i used to like it a lot.

KAYTRAMINÉ - KAYTRAMINÉ
62

ALBUM 69 OF 183.

lowkey kind of a mid album in general. some songs were fuckin boring as shit but the other ones were like REALLY GOOD. needed more quality control and i wish it was better. excited to see more though

favorite tracks: Westside, Master P, Ugh Ugh, Eye

Kill Bill & Rav - New Moon
76

ALBUM 68 OF 183.

really enjoyable actually

nothing really was too special its just that kill bill and rav are both solid ass rappers.

favorite tracks: Passionfruit, Dirge, Lovedrug (Off That), Fair One

potsu - Reaching For a Star
71

ALBUM 67 OF 183.

yeah okay potsu please stop rapping i beg you.
potsu’s production is amazing and cozy as always, but his rapping REALLY brings this down for me. the lyrics are corny at best and dreadful at worst, and the flows are massively uninteresting. all the features here are great and every song without him rapping (and be cause rav is a goat) is really good

favorite tracks: Here and Now, Wings, Be, Right Way, Reaching for a Star, Waking Up at Noon
