Well after years of hiatus they’re back and after listening to it a couple times I quite like the album however I would say it’s the bands weakest as there’s flaws to talk about. For one I think the album lacks consistency and a good flow. If you listen to any of the bands other records they flow perfectly and it’s one of the bands strongest qualities whereas WIRED is a bit all over the place with what it’s going for. Yeah coming back to this one I can’t say much has changed with my opinion on this one. Being the goth metal pioneers they were, Type O Negative started off with a split trash/goth metal album and in some ways it works. Theres songs that just drag on here then suddenly have a brief moment of a really catchy segment then just go back to being alright again. Pretty hate machine coming out at the tail end of the 80s still carries a lot of influence from the decades sound but I really appreciate it. The album tells a clear story of heartbreak through Trent’s decent lyrics (yes they’re just decent, he definitely got better at writing ... read more
I’ve been listening to President now since day 1 and I have to say with each single they got worse and then by the time the EP finally released I thought it was the biggest nothing burger and just a clone of whatever was big at the time (mainly the same type of experimental sleep token is). Nearly a year since it’s release a couple new singles have dropped most likely in prep for the bands debut album and with enjoying the singles quite a lot I thought I’d come back to the EP. ... read more
