The Strokes are so modern yet so old sounding at the same time. Indie rock gods of our generation. With this being said however. Most of these songs grew off me slightly. I used to adore this album now it's not as adored but I still love some of these songs here.
SCARING THE HOES. Such an unexpected collab between two legends in the Experimental Hip Hop realm. Just as I expected this album is amazing and both artists hold their own on this record.
As I presumed this album wouldn't live up to the hype for me. Maybe it's a grower but man I do not feel like listening to this again. The Gorillaz are a hit or miss for me and this is well.. Not the best thing from them I've heard. Im not that big on ethnic sounding music, mostly more hindi sounding music but this combined with more generic pop sound elements makes this all the more insufferable. The rating may not be too low because the song's themselves are not bad, ... read more
Mitski returns yet again with her saddening songs and short lengthed albums. Though I'm not too tapped into her entire discography. A lot of her sound has remained stagnant. If that's good or bad... That's really up to you. I thought this album was decent at best. Though, I do have something to note: The later half is better than the first half.
DON'T TAP THE GLASS was among his most critical of album drops since it was so soon since chromakopia. I among many others really disliked this album when it first game out. But, after many relistens it's hailed as one of his best albums, among me anyways...
After listening to this album many times and it not clicking for me.. This time It finally clicked for me. Though this is giving me more Mixtape and not Album, that doesn't matter. The songs all go by quick and are held together with similar vocal chants and inflections, the same soundscapes as well. This may not be Tyler's most ambitious but this is one of his most different yet familiar at the same time.
One of the most haunting and eerie albums I have ever heard in my life. This is incredible.
This version of Pop Punk is better than most because they don't try too hard by combining 4 songs into one song but it still isn't my taste. But this isn't bad by any means.
After taking this album into more consideration and listening to it once more. This is on par with I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU. It could overcome it if I listen to it more and let it set with me. There is no doubt that PEGGY's production is outstanding. I love his more mellow songs where he just raps about how he is feeling about any certain topic.
LP! Is incredible, there is nothing bad I can say about this one. Before I give PEGGY 2 100's here.. Let me sit on this album..
Flower Boy is one of those albums where you either love it or hate it. I used to hate it,
If you know Elliott Smith for his Either/Or production where it's stripped down and just acoustic guitar. Just wait, this album explodes with harder drumming and bluesy electric guitar scorching your ears.
His voice is still calm as ever and this record is still the most indie sounding project for it's time. Elliott was a talent.
This album used to be my all time favorite Kanye record. It still holds up as one of his more perfect ones. All of his albums can be considered perfect (at least almost all of them)
Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. My long awaited return to this project. Now I love Black Parade but this album.. Oh man. This is the pinnacle of My Chemical Romance.
This is one of the most early 2000's albums I've ever heard and I love it.
This album is not as bad as most people say. It has some pretty okay songs but most of it is just filler and not too good.
I love this album a lot. I do. But I can't help to think this album has a slight bit of overrated-ness to it and some of the tracks are too long. Not to mention that Drunk and Hot Girls and Barry Bonds are so overhated..
Weezer Blue Album. As I'm writing this review, I've heard the album about 2 times already... But this time it clicked for me. My previous rating was a 75. I thought some of the later songs were not as good as the first ones but all of these songs hold their weight in this album. This was a pretty fun and enjoyable listen for me. Go Weezer.
Even for it being the Amnesiac to To Pimp A Butterfly... It's still amazing and one of his most controversially rated albums.
