I was worried when starting this that I would struggle with the 50's a lot due to me not knowing that much about jazz, but I was able to really enjoy this record and have understanding why. I like how sparse this record is, it adds to the eerie feel of this album. I was listening to my liked songs on shuffle in the shower.
Suddenly have to take a MASSIVE dump.
So I get out and I'm soggy and miserable. Then Michael Gira's anguished moans start blasting from my speaker.
I can now see why they called it a soundtrack.

This is what my dreams feel like lol.
This record was crazy. I don't have a lot of notes on individual tracks, but I will start off with what I do have to say. Lonely Woman might be the best song I've gone over so far. I like the dark atmosphere on this track, and the wailing horns. The bass on Eventually is the most standout bass performance that I've gone over so far in this series. From Peace on to ... read more
