Probably one of the best hooks I've heard come out of modern day rap. Great features. Tjay and Polo G are easily one of the best current duos, along with Fivio Foreign. Great overall song. Good to see music like this coming out because my interest in rap was really fading. lol
'RAPSTAR' would be a great lyrical song with a different artist. Don't get me wrong, Polo G is a great upcoming rapper, but his voice doesn't fit this type of sound. Since most of Polo G's songs are more lo-fi/drill mix. The beat on 'RAPSTAR' is a ukulele type beat and has more of a mellow/blue rhythm. Inside source - Powerline is a break up song, written by My New Addiction's, lead guitarist, Bryson Ray. For a first song, it is more of a showcase of what the band is capable of with good production and practice.
