Finally got around to complete this album after months of leaving it off at the fourth track.
I'm just gonna keep this short.
I rediscovered this recently when I checked my Spotify history and finding it somewhere below and it reminded me to continue listening to this. I left it off at the fourth track a few months ago and I think it's time I finally get around and finish it once and for all.
I forgot how I found out about this but it seemed so way up my alley. I ... read more
Ok…this album is lwk sick asl
Almost two weeks ago, I decided to try finding some album to listen to in my free time. I lwk just wanna slowly get back into AOTY again. So I decided to try finding something out of one of my favourite genres which would be Indie Rock. Then, I rediscovered this album. It's an album I recognised but didn't really pay much mind to it but now…honestly I think it's time I finally gave it a shot.
My first listen which was almost two weeks ... read more
Happy Pride Month !! 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
A bit late sorry
On this day (well…not really cuz it’s technically the 4th instead of the 3rd rn but…) I came out to my dad as gay last year when he finally came back to me and my siblings for good…having to quit his job overseas to stay with us permanently…we shared so much in those first few days of his arrival. Genuinely one of the sweetest moments me and my siblings have with our ... read more
Holy fuck this band is incredible…is this a new obsession forming?…
Okay so I recently listened to Songs for the Deaf and holy shit that album is amazing. I've been listening to Millionaire, Go With the Flow and No One Knows so much lately and it's obviously natural for me to listen to more of their albums and especially since they have MORE incredible albums…I think it's about time I finally give this album a shot…
Ok…this album also fucks ... read more
Holy fuck…this shit kicks ass.
Ok so randomly…I remembered about Queens of the Stone Age and felt so interested in trying this album out for myself after hearing a snippet of Go With the Flow and Song for the Dead.
Yeah…this album deserves all the hype. This shit kicks fucking ass.
This album is just badass as fuck. A raw, energetic, rebellious, heavy and powerful record. It's heavy, raw and just pure energetic. It's a loose concept album about a road trip ... read more
Hey guys, on a short vacation. Was at a beach and listening to Getz/Gilberto…relaxing asf. Also gave me the opportunity to finally listen to this album.
Alright finally got around to try Antônio Carlos Jobim's "Waves". A quintessential Bossa Nova album that I surprisingly haven't listened to yet (this also reminds me to listen to more Bossa Nova albums and more Jazz in general).
This album is peaceful. It's relaxing, beautiful and even sounds exquisite ... read more
Holy shit…this album is amazing.
For two years, a friendly record store lady who worked at a record store who me and my youngest sister frequented around 2024 kept recommending me Massive Attack whenever we visited since they are one of her favourite bands / artists ever. When she first recommended them through a compilation CD, I kinda put it off cuz at that time I was still getting into music and I avoided compilation albums (still do). Of course after that I knew about Massive Attack ... read more
Michael review: https://letterboxd.com/zathelean/film/michael-2026/
Listened to this with my dad and my siblings in his car before watching Michael
It's alright imo. I’m not personally into Michael Jackson's music but this is iconic. Lots of great memorable tracks but also a lot that kind of goes on without much happening.
Good album. I wanted to listen to Thriller but my dad immediately put on Bad after 2-3 tracks cuz it’s his fav album which is fair. Feels sentimental ... read more
I mean yeah he was in WillyRodriguezWasTaken ofc this is gonna be peak
I don't remember much from this album but it was pretty good from what I remembered.
Not the most memorable but very unique with unique production with these really lengthy 8-10 minute tracks.
Also the cover is very pretty I love illustrated stylistic covers ❤️🩹🌹
Very unique Experimental Hip Hop one song EP.
Very unique and it feels very heavily inspired by artists like Earl Sweatshirt.
Great EP. Just didn't remember much from this but it's very good with great production and overall very unique for a Hip Hop EP
Genuinely one of the best soundtracks ever made.
This album is so beautiful. It makes me love and connect with C418’s work all the more despite me not actually being a fan of Minecraft or even playing it much (though I do own the game).
This album feels soft, dreamy and has such a rich texture. I'd say just as much or at sometimes even more than the first soundtrack.
Production-wise, this album is even better than the first. Layered, rich, heavily atmospheric and at times epic ... read more
This album is pretty good. It’s a bit forgettable but I enjoyed listening to this in full in my free time.
Epic Problem is great. I really enjoyed this album. Will definitely revisit it a couple times
Very good Post-Hardcore
ZATHELEAN ANNOUNCEMENT (+ short Four Tet review ofc)
Okay so obviously I've been less motivated to continue AOTY. I mean most of these reviews nowadays are from albums I listened to weeks or even months ago. I just don't feel dedicated to music anymore and prefer movies and Letterboxd instead.
So I plan to leave soon. I know I kinda fell off here so for sure there won't be too much of a splash here but eh I just want to "retire".
So my friend @JamesThatWrites gave me ... read more
Incredible album from MGMT again!! This is just as good as "Little Dark Age" and I'd personally say both are interchangeable.
This goes for a unique stylistic direction with more influences from classic Psychedelic Rock of the 60's and 70's and adds a cool new spin on it. Fusing Psychedelic Rock and Pop and with Indie Rock / Surf. It's a fun album.
I don't think it offers a completely memorable experience and I mostly remember it for "Siberian ... read more
Another great record from Broken Social Scene. This album is incredible. I got this album on CD as a blind buy a few weeks ago and yeah that was worth it.
It’s not as memorable as "We Forgot it in People" but great nonetheless. Has some weak songs and lots more filler but offers some really incredible Indie Rock tracks like "7/4 (Shoreline)" and "Ibi Dreams of Pavement (A Better Day)"
I forgot what happened in this album idk I listened to this a while ago but it did have a cool sound.
Idk it's not too memorable for me but some great Sophisti-Pop nonetheless
Absolutely underrated Post-Rock album
I have never heard of this album prior to listening to it, I've never seen it on charts prior and I thought it was a new album at first but found out IT RELEASED IN 2001?? Ok this seems pretty underrated.
Holy shit this is incredible. Every track feels consistent and it has this really interesting Post-Rock sound that fuses in Progressive Rock, Noise Rock, Math Rock and Indie / Alternative Rock and maybe even some J-Rock.
It's short, concise, ... read more

Chillest album of all time
I've also been meaning to really try this album and I did again while doing my homework like with all the albums I'm reviewing rn since Candelabro. Idk that's the only time where I can find myself listening to albums in my free time currently.
Anyways I finally decided to listen to this album and wow…this is so chill.
It makes for perfect background music. I mean a tropical, chill, soothing, nostalgic, warm, psychedelic Surf ... read more
MORE M83!!!!
Gonna try more M83 and this time with "Before The Dawn Heals Us" and this was another one of those albums I wanted to listen to and out of all the M83 albums I wanted to try this the most. I love the cover and the genres are exactly what I’m into so it's lwk perfect.
This album is amazing. Unlike "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming" which has wayyy too many tracks, this one has only 14 and has a lot of great songs to pick out from and even the tracks in ... read more
