THE VELVET UNDERGROUND DISCOG DIVE #7 BONUS ROUND #2
The final album to my Velvet Underground discography dive which also includes Lou Reed's to best solo projects…
Wow…what an ending…
Berlin has to be one of the most ambitious projects Reed has ever done. Reed's producer Bob Ezrin asked Reed to expand the story and go deeper on the couple from the track "Berlin" from his self-titled solo debut album. That he did and he granted us with this insanely ... read more
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND DISCOG DIVE #6 BONUS ROUND #1
Alright…I lied…the challenge is not over…
To make it a bit interesting, why not include Lou Reed's best albums into the mix? They’re good enough to be compared to the main Velvet albums right? Why not add em in.
Okay @Dac …you were not lying when you said this was peak. This is the pinnacle of Velvet Underground material.
This is a solo project by the main frontman of The Velvet Underground Lou Reed ... read more
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND DISCOG DIVE #5
Finally…It’s done…
Well, I mean they only have 5 albums so ofc it wouldn’t take long much.
Ahh yess…Squeeze…the infamous "Velvet Underground" album…
This is an album well known for being The Velvet Underground's WORST album and it isn’t even recorded by The Underground themselves. This record was almost entirely recorded solely by Doug Yule who wasn’t even an original member of ... read more
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND DISCOG DIVE #4
Okay I know this opinion lowkey sucks but this might be the best Velvet Underground album (for me)
Going into this album, I really didn’t feel interested in it. It seemed like an okay album I wouldn’t really care too much about but wow…I am so glad I gave it a chance…this shit is so good wtf…
This is yet another Pop album from The Velvet Underground themselves and even tho they are this weird and experimental noisy ... read more
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND DISCOG DIVE #3
Yep…this is the best Velvet Underground album.
I knew this album won’t let me down and it didn’t. Honestly I am very shocked seeing this record neck and neck with the oh so iconic "The Velvet Underground & Nico". Outside of AOTY, this album doesn’t get a lot of recognition and I wished it did more cuz honestly…this is their best work…in my personal opinion.
The Velvet Underground, a band I have known ... read more
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND DISCOG DIVE #2
Back…maybe…
For a while now I have been wanting to try out more of The Velvet Underground. Now that I am back (maybe), it's finally time to try them out for real this time…
In the early stages of my music journey, I was practically an oldhead. Saying stupid shit that good new music doesn’t exist without even trying much. I was an oldhead and obviously preferred older releases so I would obviously be aware of The Velvet ... read more
Listened to this right after HTLT on a 5 hour drive
Catchy as fuck. Not as memorable or interesting as Twin Fantasy but still very fucking good.
Yeah, I have no motivation to review anything anymore. Very underwhelming come back…
Relistened to Twin Fantasy (Face to Face) after a year of not having and checked this out for the first time on a 5 hour drive…
Twin Fantasy was so fucking good I swear I teared up. It was just as good as how I remembered and…
Honestly, I don't get this one yet. I'm a positive individual who gives chances tho so I will relisten to this again soon. I mean I had a pretty bad listening experience since I fell asleep during the final three-four tracks.
Also mb for the 1 ... read more
Yeah…I can’t think of anything to say before the review…
Alvvays! Heard of them kind of recently and they looked really interesting so I wanted to try one of their albums at some point and even hopefully get into their music. I liked their aesthetic from their album covers and Shoegaze? Aw hell yeah I love Shoegaze and these covers would go so hard with that sound!
Sometimes I get way too optimistic of something I swear…
Yeah honestly this album is just the ... read more
holy fuck…i think i found my new obsession….
A few months ago during my usual visit to my favourite record store, I happened to come across this album on CD in the used section. I would buy it but I was afraid if I did and I just so happened to dislike the album it would be a waste (cough, cough Magical Mystery Tour) and I wanted to collect albums I have already listened to and loved so I didn’t buy it. Holy fuck I regret that now…it's Endtroducing all over ... read more
I need to try more Sigur Rós…
Alrighty another review for today. This time an album from one of my personal favourite artists that I haven’t listened to their albums all too much. I've only listened to "Ágætis Byrjun" and "( )" and I've only listened to a couple of songs from Ágætis consistently. So why not…try more of their albums so I don't seem fake? Might even do a discog dive.

Okay wow…this shit is such a trip
Another album I have been wanting to try at some point. This album just seemed so interesting to me. From the cover to the ungodly amount of genre tags. I mean come on Experimental Hip Hop, Glitch Hop, Industrial Hip Hop, Experimental Rock, Neo-Psychedelia and Post-Rock??? Come on, how is that shit NOT tempting??
This is undoubtedly one of the most unique Hip Hop albums I have ever heard. God damn. Shit is so creatively put together and I honestly ... read more
Welp I am out of my den once again because of a new release (why did that den thing rhyme I'm sorry that was unintentional)
Japanese Folk singer-songwriter Ichiko Aoba released her latest album in her discography since the groundbreaking "Windswept Adan" five years ago (wow 2020 was five years ago that's crazy)
"Luminescent Creatures" is Aoba's latest instalment to her growing catalog and surprisingly it is pretty damn short cuz usually her albums are like ... read more
Welp…
I'm back…
Yeah Its been like 12 days since my last review here but ey! I'm back! (And I still haven’t dropped that video). Since this is an EP review, I’m going to keep it short, simplr and straightforward so unfortunately no overly long and monotonous review yapping over and over again about the sound. Not the best or most insane comeback ever unfortunately. Not the kind of comeback I wanted but eh…Maruja calls out to me. I wanted to listen to ... read more
Keeping this review short
Okay um…let me explain.
Yes I know I have said I wanted to take a break since I have been posting like 3-4 album reviews for a challenge every day for five days but…there has been an album I have been wanting to listen to and help get it to must hear before it actually gets it.
Low Roar is an artist I have been really meaning to try. I was there before "0" got its 'must hear' tag and been wanting to try it out but never gotten ... read more
