in rainbows is probably the album that i've listened to the most in my life. i have to have listened to it at least 15 times, counting today, and then add maybe another 5 times for the 'in the basement' sessions. in rainbows means a lot to me. it is the first album that i owned on vinyl (thanks evan) and it probably will be one of my most treasured records for life. i'm constantly switching back and forth between ok computer and this as my favorite radiohead record. this is, in my opinion, ... read more
this LP quite literally bored me to tears. this thing is the most bland and tired tropes of today's pop veiled by a very thin guise of quirkyness that went into the album's visuals. so much autotune, so many of the same bland beats, so much of the childish writing... it was all too much for me to bear. also where tf are the björk comparisons coming from?!?! it is complete bullshit that anyone thinks that this could have any semblance of björk's sound. listening to and talking about ... read more

stevie drops wonderful soulful vibes on this LP. this album always manages to put the biggest smile on my face, with a perfect balance between spiritual messages, relaxing comfort, or urgent political messages. every time i hear innervisions i am beyond saddened when it ends, as the 44 minutes of my life i take to listen to this are some of the happiest 44 minutes i can spend in music.
this one takes a more stripped back approach from the money store, and it mostly works in this album's favor. the beats are still extraordinary, with the main highlight here being the drums. mc ride is still on his A game when it comes to performance and lyrical matter. this one has grown on me a ton. with that, i guess you could say this one is a grower, not a shower.
generic arena pop punk, with not much else to it besides the same old stuff they've always been doing. besides a few mildly pleasant parts, this was really unstimulating.
