The second Fall release feels somewhat confusing when paired with their classic debut. Despite being recorded within months of their previous solo effort, "Dragnet" feels even messier - a more lo-fi sound coats these unconventional punk tunes, making these sonic experimentations with folk, garage rock and punk seem much hazier, yet indeed charming and enjoyable. A nice indie rock, punk rock sorta thing. Before I started listening it was sold to me as an experimental thing (think God is My Co-Pilot.) But honestly, if you're expecting that, you'll be disappointed. This is by no means a bad album, but what I was expecting from it and what it gave me are two very different things. I would call this unremarkable overall, but it isn't bad.
Really good. Prefer it to the debut, more hardcore imo. Enjoyed this a lot, cool to see the progression and the influence of the band.
