why is this getting so much disrespect? yeah, it's not perfect, but it's damn good, jeez. the hammer is certainly one of the greatest songs i've ever heard, fallow state is brilliant too, and the rest is pretty consistently good.

Ever since I first began to get into sludge metal, I've always pondered why nearly all of the big faces of the genre hails from Louisiana—especially New Orleans. I mean, you got Crowbar, Eyehategod, Soilent Green, Acid Bath, Down and many more. Through some basic research, I've come across multiple suspected explanations.
