Every beginning is hard. The first solo album of Elton only promises in some special moments the great things which would flourish through his long time cooperation with lyricist Bernie Taupin. Overall, it is pretty solid. The songs are consistency good but there is nothing amazing in this LP but it is enjoyable and fun to listen to. A Strong 6
