Super solid sounding album that hits in a lot of the right places. It may not have memorable stand out tracks, but it's still a golden wonder of early 70's hard rock. It's a great play through and through and had progressive thoughts behind the arrangements that aged pretty wonderfully.
It's like a peculiar mix-up of early styx and uriah heep. Not the most flattering comparisons I think (uriah heep goes pretty hard at least) but it's 70s hard rock, even at its more boring it still goes hard and the little psychedelic flares make it a lil strange and proggy.
Going to see Interpol this weekend and it seems these guys are backing them up. I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed this. Some great guitar and good vocals. Some good old 70's rock and roll.
