Not bad just nothing, extremely forgettable and without anything that would stand out. Not even good background music it's just a very poor experience. 80s pop prog is one of the worst genres of music... God...

Above all else, "The Single Factor" goes to show how negative circumstances surrounding an artist can lead to very stale music. Every member except Latimer had left Camel, and he was essentially forced to make this due to a contractional obligation. With Latimer's main focus being to make as many hit songs instead of challenging himself as a songwriter or musician, a barebones end result was to be expected. The Single Factor is the least Camel of all Camel albums. Since it was also released during the 80s, this means i am immediately intrigued, go caveman mode and have to hear it. Like ooga wooga 80s music never bad and never boring. Now take that statement, look at me rating this a 50 and behold: sarcasm. 80s music can be meh sometimes and this is a decent example i guess. However, it's not bad. Just a bit boring and almost kitsch-y at times.
