A very solid release from Open Mike Eagle, eventually I have to listen to all of their albums. Some of the tracks on here like the opener and specifically near the beginning are really great but near the middle to end part it falls off a little. It's not consistently great, but it's consistently good!
Abstract hip hop albums are never one in the same. Weird beats, odd flows, no hooks, etc etc. The one thing that every abstract artist retains despite any amount of differences however is creativity, morphing hip hop from one thing into another. Open Mike Eagle takes this creativity and ups the ante.
