Wasn't too hot on this one then I fell half-asleep as "La Baphomette" came on and had the revelation that any album with the AUDACITY to end with such a venomous French cabaret oddity deserves, if not adoration, at least respect.
Extinct is decadent in the extreme. 30 seconds in to the opener "Breathe (Until We Are No More)," the already busy guitar line is joined by violent orchestral flourishes . . . it's like an auditory Saturnalia, with very little safe place to rest. ... read more
