The exotic, green mood of the album is inspiring along with sometimes random, but mostly collected and light melodies.
What a beautiful, lush soundtrack without a film. I'd watch Matthew McConaughey as a depressed gardener on a space station in a moody, atmospheric mumblecore drama with very little dialogue to this album. Get it made, hollywood big wigs.

I was skeptical of listening at first due to the length of the first track as well as the general feedback. I am glad I gave this a listen. This album sounds like a culmination of all of Four Tet's sounds but they balance each other out perfectly. Parallel 1 is a long track, but it felt like a personal journey through Four Tet's unique sounds. The quality mix of ambient and upbeat tech house music really returns Four Tet to form in my opinion.
