With Parallel ... he officially brings some of that mystery material back into the Four Tet fold.
What a beautiful, lush soundtrack without a film. I'd watch Matthew McConaughey as a depressed gardener on a space station in a moody, atmospheric mumblecore drama with very little dialogue to this album. Get it made, hollywood big wigs.

Parallel is a very lobsided project. The ambient epic at the beginning and the other intereludes just don't interest me at all meanwhile the fully fleshed tracks are truly great here and almost recall back to the Pink / There Is Love In You era. Pleasant noodlings to ignore and space out too. Flits from a digital wind chime to acoustic pianos to the sound of a trendy clothes shop where nothing has a price on. None of the tracks have names because none of them add up to much when listened to in isolation. I don't dislike it though.
