This LP is the hardest hitting, pulsating, deep and heavy album of the year.

Everything these scenes have been trying to portray with a guttural and dark sound, have influences of Kevin Martins early work if they have ever heard it. His catalogue spreads so far across the Dub scene, UK Grime scene and industrial revivals of North America and Europe. A true legend in music, so with this LP dropping, it was with precision timing that it has come back with a sink hole of sound.

One of the more 'apocalyptic themed' albums of the pandemic from a relative big hitter; the spoken word conspiracy theorist opener sets the scene and most everything that follows feels like it was written to soundtrack the end of days.

‘Fire’ does sound a lot like previous career peak ‘London Zoo’ only it focuses more on atmosphere and sound design rather than catchiness - which you prefer will come down to that slight difference in approach.

An exceedingly heavy and dark collection of grime, dubstep and UK bass with dissonant industrial textures. The guests absolutely kill their features and the production feels more suffocated and crushed than ever. If there's any direction I want experimental bass music to take in the coming years, it's the one this album puts forward. Arguably The Bug's best work to date.
