This LP is the hardest hitting, pulsating, deep and heavy album of the year.
Everything these scenes have been trying to portray with a guttural and dark sound, have influences of Kevin Martins early work if they have ever heard it. His catalogue spreads so far across the Dub scene, UK Grime scene and industrial revivals of North America and Europe. A true legend in music, so with this LP dropping, it was with precision timing that it has come back with a sink hole of sound.

This is my first time encountering the music of The Bug (Kevin Martin) and his latest album Fire makes for a jaw-dropping introduction. The 3rd album The Bug has released on Ninja Tune is called “Fire”, is it actually fire? Sort of but mostly yeah. This is a solid Grime and UK Bass and Dubstep album from The Bug, the features on here were hit or miss but the production Kevin Martin offers is very nice.
