Wire follows up one of their most boring projects with a, no surprise here, even more boring project. The Drill is an album that lacks any substance whatsoever. It’s more electronic than rock at this point and is just barely enjoyable. It’s not doing anything different or cool, it’s just trying way too hard to be artistic. The live performance was pretty good though

Thing is, it's not bad or filled with bad ideas.

It's just not a good delivery of what they intended to make.

It's sounding gets stale and boring 1 minute in.
