Despite the incredible highs ... 154 is also the least consistent of Wire's first three albums, and a few of its experiments don't bear full fruit.
If Chairs Missing was a transitional album between punk and post-punk, 154 is squarely in the latter camp, devoting itself to experimental soundscapes that can sound cold and forbidding at times.

This album is easily Wire's darkest and most cryptic album to date, and it's also one of their best.
It takes all the elements that made Chairs Missing so ominous and intense and cranks it up to a million. Some of the tracks are downright scary imo. *154* — what a bizarre title. It’s the exact number of concerts the band had played by the time this album was released. An album that has now become as iconic as *Pink Flag*, long remembered in various encyclopedias for being more accessible. This is truly one of the strangest pieces in the entire post-punk genre. Piaciuto molto.
Produzioni tutte stupende, vocals che non sempre mi facevano impazzire ma erano molto varie.
Unico difettuccio vero è che nonostante fossero solo 44 minuti mi sono sembrati molto di più.
