Hopelessly ahead of its time, Grin has continued to improve with age but, alas, the same risk-taking ethic that produced it proved too audacious for the members of Coroner to withstand, and the resulting band dissension only accelerated their already looming demise.

Dude what. I have no idea what I just listened to. Engrossing masterpiece of prog/thrash/groove metal. The guitar work, the time signatures, the songwriting everything is just so fucking good, one of the best things I've ever heard, definitely one of the most unique. Definitely their Magnum opus, their technical thrash albums were peak but this is just next level bruh.

One of the best groove albums I've heard in my life. I'm gonna revisit this one a lot, way more interesting than what most thrash bands did in the 90's

“Grin” is Coroner’s only groove-focused project and would end up being their final album. They obviously still use their technical/progressive roots throughout, but “Grin” feels more sophisticated than previous albums. It's like a technical and more thrash oriented sound of what Pantera were doing at the time. Technical groove metal was a genre I never knew I needed but boy it's fantastic. So many fantastic riffs and the drumming is amazing. Way too underrated from this fantastic band:) 9/10 album and an album that more people should listen to when it comes to this amazing band

Really gritty and fun record. I love the genre combo here of groove and progresive/avante garde experimentation. Some great stuff here
