Some people carp that Garbage’s carefully assembled post-grunge pop-rock is too contrived. We see their point, but that doesn’t make us deaf to the humongous hooks on album No. 4, Bleed Like Me.

AllMusic
It's an enjoyable record, but it's hard to escape the nagging feeling that Garbage has painted itself into a corner: they haven't found a way to expand their sound, to make it richer or mature -- they can only deliver more of the same.

Alternative Press

Ferocious and vital... A return to the steady Garbage ferocity of old, it's first rate.

70
Rolling Stone

The first two-thirds of Bleed Like Me is easily the best sustained run of studio Garbage since the opening half of their 1995 debut.

70
Slant Magazine

If Version 2.0 was techno-pop perfection posing as rock, Bleed Like Me is its noisy, long-haired cousin playing metal riffs in the garage.

The Guardian
While Manson's changeling vocals are always worth listening to, Garbage's songs often aren't.

Mojo
A back-to-basics guitar-fest.

The album is full of big rock guitars anchored to big rock effects, but it somehow never manages either to sound big enough or to rock hard enough.

Bleed Like Me is an album of contrived power-pop songs that chart the lows and lows of yet another failing relationship.

Uncut
Much of it signifies nothing.

As much as I may like Beautiful Garbage there's no denying that the record drove the band into a corner. It was too poppy for Garbage's diehard audience and not mainstream enough for the pop audience. So Garbage needed a return to form - that's where "Bleed Like Me" comes in. It is a record determined to ditch all the poppiness of its predecessor and return to the raw rock n roll that the band is known for.

That’s of course excluding the fact, that Garbage are not known for ... read more

A weak album in my opinion, the only thing making this interesting to listen to is the different guitar riffs worked into each song, feels kinda bland besides that

Favorites: Run Baby Run, Why Do You Love Me, Right Between The Eyes (idk why this song feels like Danger Days by MCR)

Até agora achei esse o álbum mais comum da banda, mas isso não é uma crítica negativa. Pelo contrário, achei que eles entregaram um ótimo rock raiz.
