Macha is not quite consistent but it is consistently driving, expressive, and spiritually stimulating, even if it is not explicitly spiritually directed.
Thus augmented ... Macha begin to blaze a trail that, if not actually new, is distinctively theirs.
Well this here is something different from the good old '90s, a load of different styles attempted and I guess overall 'maximal' and groovy (even a little Krautrock'y?) in its presentation of ideas.
Maybe it'll reveal itself to be a total mess down the line - but today, sitting HERE in THIS seat, and on a first listen with the doors OPEN...I feel refreshed.
lots of found sounds and rhythms driving this thing from start to finish. really enjoyed it.
