What a gorgeous, thoughtful tapestry to end your LP output on. Bobbie goes out with a bang.
Low points:
slim pickings here; it could be said "Jeremiah" & "Somebody Like Me" are a tad long
Highlights:
the effortless way "Mean Stepmama" morphs into big-band blues from acoustic bookends; the sentimental reprise of "Lookin' In" sees Bobbie at perhaps her most vulnerable, as she publicly questions her recording future
